A very nice hotel with separate apartments in the grounds built in an African style. A small family of monkeys keep you entertained. If you want to stay in Kotu I would recommend this hotel. The main resturant while a little expensive on cost locally is good. The only real downside is thst in Kotu you are pestered a little... More

The Bakotu Hotel is between the beach (over the road through the marketplace) and Kotu Stream, which the hotels viewing platform overlooks). We had a standard room, which is like a small bungalow 95% of which are ground level. The room whilst basic was fine, everything worked,we ordered a fridge & fan online before we went and they were there on arrival. We rented a... I thought I’d review this hotel again as we have now stayed there a further four times since our original visit back in 2012. The hotel remains largely unchanged with no TVs or piped music The Bakotu offers peace and tranquillity with nature all around and the wildlife remains this area's biggest asset. Chris Packham, the English naturalist, still chooses... More

Rooms are clean, staff is nice. The hotel is near to restaurants (our favorite was Tandoor with good... More

All give you a big smile which really makes your day. It is fun to see the monkeys jumping through the trees and across the hotel roofs. The rooms are clean and... More

Not a bad hotel but although they say they spray the rooms, thats the only place i,ve been bitten in. Everthing is an extra unfortunatly but the place is nice enough. If anyone is smoking outside the room the smoke tends to waft through the glass slats and mozzie mesh. Comfy and clean enough . I notice that there are... More

The Bakota is a relatively small hotel with mainly single story rooms set around the pool and communal areas. Although only across the road from the beach its tree filled setting make it a great location for birds, monkeys and noisy bull frogs! It is also an oasis away from the hustle & bustle of the outside. Unlike the larger... More
