Love the location of this hotel, right on the beach literally one minutes walk to the beach. This was my first visit in April via Thomas cook and unfortunately I won't return in April again, don't get me wrong the staff are all great especially Awa in the reception bar but for a hotel that holds 350 there were no...

I stayed in a round house at the top. It was reasonably ok, for Gambia standards but not the best views. The grounds were pleasant and roomy enough. Breakfast in the main restaurant was a bit same thing to expect everyday but a reasonable amount of choice mostly omelette/scrambled eggs or pancakes freshly prepared by the chef(which was a nice...

I stayed at this hotel with family & have stayed several times before. This time there was a distinct lack of atmosphere here due to the lack of tourists. This was due to the political situation in January & the over reaction of the media! Thomas cook stopped the majority of uk flights, which did not help the Gambian people....

Having spent 2 weeks here at Christmas I couldn't wait to go back! I booked and went again in March for another 2 weeks. After the political unrest Thomas Cook called me asking if I wanted to change my destination... 'NOT IN A MILLION YEARS' was my reply! I feel safer in Gambia than at home in the UK!! It...

This was our first time staying at Palm Beach Hotel having stayed at other hotels in the same area over the past 4 years. For Trip Advisors thinking of booking this hotel beware; attention to detail is very poor by comparison to other hotels. Cosmetically, it is also very ‘tired’ and by English standards would need a total refurbishment (but...

We stayed B & B and although breakfast was basic, it was adequate, had freshly made omelettes every day. We also had dinner here in the evening a few times. The Italian chef was excellent, I still think about my delicious seafood tagliatelle now. We were looked after by a fantastic waiter from Sierra Leone, he really made our stay....

I had wanted to visit Africa for a while now and the opportunity came up at the start of the year so I booked a holiday to The Gambia, I am glad to say it was a great choice. It is an amazing place, we upgraded our room at the Palm Beach to a suite, which was great value and...

8th time to The Gambia and everytime stayed at palm beach. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Each year see improvements being made to the hotel. Staff are so friendly and remember you from last time, they really make the hotel. Been to see other hotels but none of them have the friendly welcoming atmosphere Palm beach has.
