We stopped for food with friends on the way back from kartoung . Couldnt decide what to have so the owner sugested a mezze style meal for the four of us. He told usthe food would 20mins . So we walked down to the beautiful beach . When wereturned 20 mins later the food was ready bang on time and was the purfect meal to end the perfect day. We would have loved to have stayed but due to other commitments were unable to do so. I have visited tree c's before when they first opened for a day visit with friends and would highly recommend spending time there if only for the day. Beach butler service was an extremely nice touch and catching my first ever yellow fin tuna on the beach made it even more memorable . Paradise in paradise , many thanks Brendonis .

This place needs to be bulldozed and rebuilt. The swimming pool is dilapidated and has bats drinking the water during the night (rabies risk). There is no restaurants off site so you are monopolized to eat at the resort unless you have a car. If you are like Bear Grylls or Ray Mears you may like this place otherwise do not go.

Well what can I say......... Just returned from a weeks stay here with 2 friends and it is amazing!!!! If you want fancy Tvs in your room, fridges and power showers then please stay away this is not for you. However if you want perfect service, amazing food, peaceful location and a beach to yourself then this is it. The rooms whilst simple had the most perfect bed linen and amazing pillows to guarantee a great sleep. The food was simple, home cooked in front of you and cooked to perfection with the host David presenting the most amazing food in such simple conditions. Whilst the pictures show a beach bar, this wasn't open, although we were the only ones there so no surprise really; However we had David's personal bar service on tap on the beach. He and his team would make sure we had cooler bags stocked with all our drinks including the lemon for our gin and tonics and even turn up again to restock a few hours earlier. Evenings were very chilled with movie night being our big thing, however after a lot of drinks and great food we could barely keep our eyes open past 10pm. David and Precious have created a magical place of peace I will be back....

We have been to The Gambia many times and have always said we would have a night away in Gunjur. This year we did and our only regret was leaving!!! Booking was simple from the UK, from contacting David to arranging fishing on the beach. The resort was easy to find and the welcome was great when we arrived. The lodges are very modern and clean and the gardens well kept but the hospitality and the food was something else!! The food was some of the best we have had in The Gambia, very well prepared and presented with the prices no more than an average meal. The meals were not average in size or quality... The staff, Mike , Maimuna, Mam, Seji and Buba are a credit to David and Precise and we were made to feel very special, with Mike bring the beers to the beach on his bike... We will be booking again but longer than 1 night as it just was not long enough
