This was our second visit to Nemasu, and hopefully not our last. This place is so relaxed. The food in the restaurant is very good and the drinks are cold (expect ofcourse for the lovely mint and lemongrass tea)! The beach is very nice and quiet: no bumsters. During our stay we cycled to the reptile farm which is only 3 km from Nemasu. We also did the cooking class with Ayse on a compound in the village. Great experience! She does some great massages as well. Again we stayed in one of the roundhouses (very nice, clean and quite spacious), but the new houses with beachview also looked like great accommodation. The biggest plus of Nemasu was again the staff! They are so friendly, helpful and lots of fun!

I had not been to The Gambia before, and found Nemasu by chance. A really beautiful place, the accommodation was perfect, everything very clean and tidy. The staff really do make you so very welcome, and you feel a part of the place very quickly, making my stay really relaxing and enjoyable. Great to be able to just walk down to beach, go for a walk or just laze in the sun or shade. The food is fantastic, all fresh local produce and very yummy. Although poor Sidi, did have some problems with the internet, not his fault and for me I was not bothered,it was really nice not to be in contact all the time. Everyone should just try to get away and relax ( something I am not normally able to do ) and don’t worry about what’s happening at home, just chill it’s a perfect place. I would highly recommend anyone, on their own, a couple or family you will have a wonderful time at Nemasu. Jonathan

We were just out for a drive one day and after passing many signs for restaurants and bars, we finally followed the signs for Nemasu Lodge. Having travelled to Gambia many times over the last 20 years, this place was incredible. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. We only wanted a drink but stayed most of the afternoon. The environment, the beach, the view and the staff absolutely amazed me. The passion the staff had for doing a good job and caring about us and nature was amazing. We hope to visit again soon and thank you for such a lovely afternoon.

We just returned from a week holiday in Nemasu and it was the best! Food, accommodation, beach, trips, can't fault anything and above all the staff is the best! Had a great New Year party , two nice outings (one by bike) and excellent relaxing time. Don't come expecting luxury or fast wifi, you won't find it. Come to find nature, peace and an authentic experience and you will. We will be back .. Thanks to all the wonderful people of Nemasu for making our stay unforgettable.

A beautiful location and lovely accommodation. Very clean and nice staff. But BEWARE that when paying for B&B all that is included is tapalapa (bread) with eggs and spread, Nescafé and tea. Anything else on the breakfast menu is chargeable, for example , pancakes and proper coffee! I paid almost £100 D5000 for 2 nights, 1 adult and 2 children. For that price I expect a proper breakfast and not to be confronted with a bill. I even checked on arrival, “it includes breakfast?” It does say under the first item 1. on the menu (if you read that item in full) that this item is included but it fails to point out or no-one points out that the rest of the breakfast menu is not included. Given its location you are unlikely to get breakfast else where so I find the “bed and breakfast” label to be deceiving. I expect more than a bit of bread, instant coffee and a boiled egg for breakfast or don’t bother and just offer “bed!” And a lower price. Unfortunately we will not be visiting again as the cost of the accommodation plus the cost of breakfast makes it expensive, despite the lovely location.
