A popular and lively hotel, Cape Point Hotel is situated at the sandy beach of Cape Point with a brightly-coloured African setting. Its excellent amenities mean this hotel is ideal for either a relaxing or an active beach holiday. Although the facilities allow you to eat in if you wish, the hotel has an attractive restaurant offering a high standard of cuisine.

Didn’t stay here but came next door from ocean bay for a pizza. Was great and reasonably priced, as was the beer. Can’t really comment on the hotel but it seemed really quiet and the pool was tiny. I’m not however marking them on this as we didn’t stay there.

The best hotel I've ever experienced! Period! Food, always incredible! The people felt like family over how much they took care or me and treated me! The view of the beach was breathtaking! Please go down there if you haven't already and have the time of your life

Cape point hotel is very old and dated, and needs a lot of work to bring up to any sort of good standard, the staff are fine, very friendly and will do anything you need them to do with a smile on their faces. Buffet breakfast was very poor, fried eggs made in bulk and all put into one small container to keep warm which meant the eggs at the bottom were swimming in about two inches of oil/fat which is really off-putting, for a cold breakfast they use cheap processed cheese and cheap processed ham, it is unlikely we will be staying there again.

All I can say is what a shame. This place could be lovely! Great setting, lovely pool and beach, super staff. However, the place is VERY dated and not very clean. The rooms need deep cleaning, painting and refurbishing. The beds, bases and mattresses are filthy. The floors all need a good sweeping and bleaching. The window frames look like they have never been cleaned. The bathroom smells of urine. The walk down the beach is unkept and full of litter. It doesn’t belong to the hotel fair enough but they should take responsibility for it. When I ask the security guard on the guard why no one cleans it they said this is Africa and asked if I wanted to clean it. The pool is lovely but again needs a damn good scrub! Not tried the food/restaurant yet. Hope the kitchen is cleaner than the beds!

Great stay, great staff, great location! My 2nd stay in The Gambia, it was nice to get off the beaten track of Senegambia/Kololi. Close to local markets and local street food. will definitely stay here again!

We had just the Perfect Holiday at Cape Point Hotel, The staffs were very lovely and offer a 5 Star service all around, My children loved every moment spent in the Pool, Garden, and Beach and my Husband and I loved that the beach was merely a few steps away and the view made every Night that more Special with an ocean of Stars in the Sky.

We stayed at end of season, only 4 rooms occupied so we didn't see this hotel in full swing. Friendly attentive staff, no-one begging for tips which is unusual for the gambia so obviously they are well paid. Swimming pool was spotless, gardens immaculate. The room was airy with high ceiling, option of fan or air con, fridge & kettle. Bed was comfortable, water always piping hot. We only ate breakfast here but it was fine. Beach in easy walking distance 10 yards from the back gate. Hotel is secure, security on both entrances. Would stay again.

I have a great holiday at Cape Point Hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean albeit a tad dated. The hotel gardens are beautiful which was good as a family of monkeys seemed to enjoy visiting at breakfast time some mornings. The pool was great for a cooling dip although it did seem to get owned by the lower floor accommodations. There was regular evening entertainment. But it was the friendly helpful and cheery staff that made my stay here most pleasant. Nothing was a problem and always carried out with a Gambian smile. The market and restaurants are very close but often a bit hectic! I have to agree that the wi-fi was rather intermittent but I was quite glad of that as it's nice to actually HAVE a holiday free from tech. Plenty of WiFi around if you find it necessary on your holiday though. Thank you all at the Cape Point Hotel 😀
