This was the third time I've visited the Ranch with grandchildren and we can't wait to go back! This resort caters to the kids as well as the adults. The staff are all extremely friendly and respectful, and always willing to help you out. The rooms are spacious and housekeeping is always there to provide extra towels and such when needed. The meals are plentiful and appropriate and the saloon (tucked modestly downstairs) and the pool bar (in summer) are ready to offer beverages of your choice. I love the attention paid to the grounds and the indoor decor. My only wish is for microwaves and coffee pots in the room in addition to the mini-refrigerator. We hate to waste delicious food when we can't finish at the table.

We just returned from 5 wonderful days at Rocking Horse Ranch. The children, age 9 and 11,and adults, enjoyed so many activities every day..and night. The tubing at night was exciting, the shows every night,we’re so much fun.We saw magic shows, comedians, acrobatics, two shows a night, and free popcorn. If you want other nightly activities there are sing alongs at the campfire, marshmallow roasting included, outdoor hot tub,and evening swimming..as well as game rooms. During the day we did paddle boats, kayaking, miniature golf, shuffleboard, basketball volleyball, swimming, horseback riding, buggy rides..so much more.Yet..small and cozy enough to walk to each fun activity.thanks to an incredibly child friendly and efficient staff, every activity moves smoothly. The food..best ever..and plentiful.Fish,Steak,Pasta dishes, soups, salads, children’s meals, best desserts.,and 24 hot chocolate coffee and tea. Another fantastic vacation in a beautiful.immaculate resort.

This is our second trip and I’m writing this poolside. Incredible service, SAFETY, and food! Things for kids of all ages and adults. The owner Steve is terrific and very visible. He can be seen serving drinks, working with the staff, or just checking in with visitors. Excellent value for the price and we will definitely be back....soon!

As a Grandmother it is very relaxing for me to watch the Grandchildren having a GREAT time. It's all about fun. So when they come to visit from 4 hours away. We go to the Rocking Horse Ranch. I will do this everytime they come to visit. No grocery shopping. The food at the Ranch is delicious and PLENTY. No clean up, just fun. Ceasar the waiter made my Granddaughter Birthday special. All the waiters were special but I just remembered this name. The rooms are roomy and comfortable and the whole Ranch exceptionally clean. You are very busy. The Ranch has a daily itinerary from 9:30 am to the final show for the kids in the Silverado Saloon. The seating is 6ft apart for safety. The shows are very entertaining. Don't forget the popcorn!! We've been several times and still have not done all. Not only Horses, swimming, water slides, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, miniature golf, Mountain Tubing, Bungee jumper, I could go on on. So look on web site. Don't let the price scare you. You never need money for anything, maybe quarters for the Lucky Horsearcade or if you drink alcohol. It is so worth it. Hope your family enjoys as mine does.

Our family had a great stay at RHR, which also was our first. We were up in early April, just after the winter activities and before the summer ones, but there was still plenty to do. The indoor pool and water slide was probably our kids’ favorite activity. The staff was particularly great. Lots of resorts have kind, courteous staff, but the staff at RHR was really a step above. Everyone from the front desk to the wait staff to activities to house keeping was overwhelming friendly and genuinely seemed to love their jobs. We will definitely come back — ideally during the winter, as the ski/sledding area combined with the heated indoor pool seems like it would be a major win. Special shout out to Liam the lifeguard who was playful and very patient with our 7 year old daughter even after she threw his flip flops into the pool repeatedly.
