Peaceful Pines is a lodge like bed and breakfast located a few miles from the center of Hamilton and Colgate University. The property is nestled on top of a hill which overlooks the valley, where the Village of Hamilton and Colgate are located. Amenities include free breakfast, free wi-fi, hair dyers, irons and towels/linens. During the summer months, guests have access to the pavilion, the pond, the decks and the beautiful gardens for relaxation and exploration around the property.
I would give Peaceful Pines 10 stars if I could. The place was awesome! We had two rooms, including the Honeymoon Suite, which was one of the nicest and most spacious rooms I've seen in a B&B or even a luxury hotel. You'll enjoy your own private sauna, steam room, separate shower, spa tub, plus a washer and dryer in a separate laundry room inside the suite, which came in very handy for us. And the grounds are amazing. Immaculately manicured and built to be enjoyed, not just looked at. I enjoyed walking around the expansive lawn as well as swimming in the private pond. But the best thing about the stay were our fabulous hosts Kevin and Leslie! We felt so welcome and they truly treated us like friends. I don't know when I'll be back in the area, but whenever that may be, we're staying at the Peaceful Pines!

The host, Kevin is a class act even before you arrive. He has all the details you need. Follows up immediately and makes sure you are comfortable before you arrive.
When you arrive you will say, "OH wow!" no less than a dozen times when you see the property. This place is stunning. The pond, the mountains, the view of Colgate U are all incredible.
We were also awe struck by the wonderful country silence, the hummingbirds, all the places to sit and relax, and the great breakfasts in the morning.
We wish we knew about this place earlier in all our visits to this area.

Spent the weekend here while in Hamilton for the Colgate reunion. What a find! Beautiful views, accommodations clean as a whistle, and innkeeper Kevin Strasser could not have been more gracious and friendly. He offered to pick me up after the Saturday night reunion event if I didn't want to drive!

Kevin was waiting on the porch to greet us when we arrived. His home is beautiful, the grounds well kept, very clean and welcoming. Breakfast was self-serve and plentiful. Country location - quiet and serene but close to Hamilton. It's a beautiful setting for those lucky enough to be married here. Everything about the bed and breakfast is warm and comfortable. Kevin obviously takes pride in his home. Visiting with Kevin and Leslie was enjoyable.

this lovely b&b is just a few minutes from colgate's campus and has a gorgeous view of the whole campus from its mountain location. your host, kevin, is very friendly and helpful. the property has its own pond and gazebo, in a very country setting. we have stayed in the lower apartment, which has its own kitchen and washer/dryer, and also the master suite, which was a treat. the master suite has vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, sitting area, kitchenette, washer/dryer, sauna, steam shower and jacuzzi. breakfast is self-help continental in a lovely kitchen. this place is a real find for any parent visiting their colgate student!

Peaceful pines is a lovely bed and breakfast in a bucolic setting. It's grounds are impeccably maintained and the view is spectacular. The host, Kevin, greets you at the door with such warmth and hospitality that you can be certain that this B and B will live up to its name.

Wonderful place to stay, lots of positive vibes! The grounds were well maintained, great views - the waterfall was very calming. The rooms would make anyone feel at home. Great find for anyone looking for somewhere to relax, just out of town. Sparky (the dog) was very loving and lots of fun! It was nice to wake up to fresh coffee, brewed by Kevin (the owner and great guy).

Very comfortable with a spacious master suite, in a beautiful country setting. The host was friendly and accommodating. A majestic view down and across the valley. The home and grounds are meticulously maintained. We look forward to a return stay.

I found Peaceful Pines via internet search. There are several B&B in the area, however I chose Peaceful Pines and I am glad I did. Beautiful, well maintained property, charming house and welcoming host in combination with close proximity to Colgate and reasonable prices make this B&B the best deal in Hamilton.

"I would spend the extra $ for the Master Suite, it is totally worth it. The air conditioning is a single window unit, which is not as comfortable or quiet as central a/c, but it worked and wasn't too noisy."
