This was the first place we stopped on our Labor-Day weekend adventure and I wouldn't have wanted to start it any other way. Very pleasant area, the scenery was so calming it was almost necessary to stop here first in order to set the inner naturist in me free, the kayaking was a very lovely journey, and the folks who... Serenity Now! Frank Costanza would have loved this venue. Just coming onto the property one can feel the tension drain from the corporeal body. From the the mill run, to the undershot water wheel, the mill pond and tiny private island on a secluded part of the upper Delaware River, this updated, old fashioned place, reminded me of a small... We are novice kayakers and found this to be a very enjoyable couple of hours in a small lake and river. The staff were all very helpful. But most important, the scenic views were incredible. A definite return. The hotel was under repair from a hurricane so we stayed elsewhere.

To be fair, this was only our 2nd stay at a bed and breakfast. Maybe my expectations were too high but I wanted to just state a couple things in case there are any other couples like us expecting something a bit different. We arrived late at night and Susan showed us around. The website said that we’d have a... More

Dear Nakky123, Thanks for taking the time to write a review for our B&B 4 years ago. We have since remodeled and rebuilt our 1810 Mill House since suffering major damage from Hurricane Irene in 2011. The hosts, Susan and Jim Kelly, are genuinely interesting and worldly hosts. Susan, a gourmet cook, personally prepares a memorable breakfast, a major event. The house is filled with antique musical instruments and many other fascinating collectibles. Jim is the on site host and has a fireplace fire going when you set forth in the morning, and is ready with... More

We have enjoyed visiting for years now. The hosts, Jim and Susan, are gracious and down to earth. We have become friends and consider them part of our extened family. The food is magnificent. The scenery is beautiful and sounds from the waterfall are tranquil. We look forward to going there a couple of times each year. Hiking, skiing, and... More

We have been coming to this wonderful place for our annual getaway for a few years now. As usual, it was a heavenly experience. The setting is perfect- private lake with a romantic island in the center, original historical bridge nearby, all hidden from the main road in a charming little village. The house is updated throughout and still keeps... More
