Spent 3 nights in this great campground. Tons of hiking trails and a very nice lake for swimming. General store outside of park has everything you would need in case you forget something. Really nice fire pits at each sight. Bathroom and showers could be cleaned more often but otherwise great experience

We have been going to North lake for over 30 years, my husband for over 50 years. This year we went up in august 2016 and we love the area, we love the campground. The bathrooms were a bit better than last year, they could use a good cleaning daily. The biggest problem is the people that go there that... More

We enjoyed our stay at North-South Lake. It was pretty there. We stayed in loop 5 at a pretty secluded and wooded site, but still close enough to other people that we didn't feel lost in the woods. The place is very big and it makes sense to drive to the lake, which felt a little strange to me. If... More

if you book too late in the season prepare yourself for seeing the whites of your neighbors eyes. unless you book early and get one of the great sites on or near the water, you'll be crammed into sites jammed right on top of one another. that's not wilderness camping. that's refugee camping. steer clear especially of loops 2 and... I have been coming here since the early 1970's and although I have not camped here in a long time, not much has changed. The campsites do not have electric. Day entry to the park is $10. There are 2 beaches, 1 at North Lake and 1 at South Lake (it is the same lake but they used to be... More

I can't believe this is all just there waiting for us to enjoy and love! Just terrific! Highlights: * stunning views * VERY WELL MARKED TRAILS - thank you, thank you, thank you, all you volunteers and the state of New York! * varied trails with something for everyone, including hikes that are long with random somewhat challenging mild rock... This is my all time favorite place to go every summer and early fall. My great grandmother used to take my mom and then my parents have been taking me for the past 20 years and now my boyfriend and I go all the time and I plan on bringing our future kids here! The staff is always very friendly... More

Awesome. Beautiful sites. Huge campground. Tons of activities and beautiful hikes of all sizes. Dog friendly. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. Accommodating. With a great camp store located in town called twilight. Had everything we didn't know we needed and the best ice cream anywhere!! Lots of wildlife and very relaxing. I highly recommend!!!

A little crowded for our taste but nice clean campground. Spent a lot of time hiking with the kids and dogs. Katerskill Falls trails were beautiful but again a bit crowded for our taste. Absolutely beautiful scenery from trails surrounding the campground. Wanted to see a bear but never did ... I guess I should be thankful for that ;-)... More
