Awesome. Beautiful sites. Huge campground. Tons of activities and beautiful hikes of all sizes. Dog friendly. Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff. Accommodating. With a great camp store located in town called twilight. Had everything we didn't know we needed and the best ice cream anywhere!! Lots of wildlife and very relaxing. I highly recommend!!!

A little crowded for our taste but nice clean campground. Spent a lot of time hiking with the kids and dogs. Katerskill Falls trails were beautiful but again a bit crowded for our taste. Absolutely beautiful scenery from trails surrounding the campground. Wanted to see a bear but never did ... I guess I should be thankful for that ;-)... More

I used to camp here 10 years ago with friends. Now I have a family and it hasn't changed a bit. Still a great experience for first time or veteran campers. Entire grounds are kept clean and neat. Camp sites, bathrooms, beach etc.. A lot to experience at this campground. A ton of hiking trails in the area. The lakes... More

This is one of the best catskill hikes...the hike to North Point. Start from the beach area and its a relatively flat hike, passing through very cool,twisted/stunted scotch pines and exposed bedrock.Careful on the footing here,as it looks totally flat, but there are some cracks and such. Take the trail to sunset rock for a nice view...or go strait to... More

I have been camping here for years! I love every memory I have. The bathrooms have been renovated and love the private shower stalls. I wish all of the bathrooms are new, but that's ok. There are always staff drving around and checking on things. The hikes never get old and the sites are clean and great! I haven't really... More

Been coming to North & South Lake since I was a toddler....started coming up with family for picnics and swimming in the cold waters of the Lakes. Now, I like to spend my time kayaking and sitting on the beach enjoying the beautiful scenery. All boat/kayak rentals are done at South Lake, and you can unload your own "vessel" at... More

This campground has a lot of sites. It wasn't very private which was fine for camping with a friend, which was what I did. We drove over to South Lake at about 9 am and no one was there and it was so quite, peaceful and beautiful. The trees were just slightly starting to change colors and it was exactly... More

Just a terrific campground. Love staying here. The grounds are great and the lake and hiking trails are beautiful. There's a great beach to go swimming. On south lake, you can rent boats to row and fish all over the lake. The campsites are well kept. The bathrooms and showers are clean. It makes for a wonderful stay.

Booked this place not sure what to expect. Drove in and staff was great. Wood was reasonable and came with a fire starter which no other place has given me.... Campsite #38 was nice. Had stream along side of us but was dry. The fire pit is the best I've seen in any campground. Neighbors are seen easily but Just... More

It was amazing. I was truly concerned before we left our home that I had made a mistake about this campsite. I was completely wrong. It was an amazing weekend, the beauty the fresh air. the stars in the sky. My only complaint would be that it would be nice if the bathrooms could be cleaned more often. They were... More
