What a hidden gem. We stayed for two nights & did not want to leave. Clay is a fantastic host. The house is located within walking distance from all Greenport shops & restaurants. It is on a quiet dead end street with amazing water views. It is super clean, safe & comfortable. Clay is a baker and provided the most amazing breakfasts & bakery treats. The amenities were very thoughtful. Our room had a beautiful view of the water. Looking forward to becoming regulars!!!
I came here to get away from the chaos of NYC and couldn't have been happier with my choice. The Stirling House was so wonderfully quiet. I spent evenings watching the rain fall on the Peconic River and days enjoying BBQ and shopping in town. I planned to stay for two nights but ended up staying for three. I didn't want to go home :)
The Stirling House was perfect for our two night stay in Greenport. We were a bit hesitant to spend a few nights away from home at present, but we were so comfortable at the Stirling House, all our concerns were completely forgotten and it exceeded our expectations. The B&B was so clean, social distancing was completely respected, and our room was perfect. We stayed in the Shelter Island Room, which has the most relaxing views of the water that can be seen from lying in bed. We enjoyed our morning coffee in the Adirondack chairs on the front porch- it's a dead end street so there was little activity on the street in the morning. And the breakfasts were amazing. Clay is a fantastic chef and baker. Greenport is a short walk and the B&B is perfectly located close to town, but off the beaten path. We already talking about next time we can go back!…
We had a wonderful stay at The Stirling House. The B&B was in a great location in Greenport. We were able to walk to the town where there were restaurants and shops. Clay was a pleasure to meet and he made fabulous breakfasts both days we were there. He even left us some tasty treats in the afternoon. Our room was spacious, had everything we needed and we could see the water from the window. The B&B was not far from the many vineyards we visited. I would definitely stay here again.
Couldn't have been a better experience. Went to Stirling House for my girlfriend's birthday. Had an excellent experience. The owner, Clay, is very friendly and accommodating. He makes exquisite breakfasts and baked goods. Had no problem catering to my girlfriend's gluten-free diet. The room itself was well-appointed with a nice view of the harbor. Parking on the street was ample and never had any issue. Everything in Greenport itself is walking distance -- this must be the best located B&B in the area. Tells you everything you need to know that after I inadvertently left a bottle of wine in the room after departing, Clay moved heaven and earth to get it to me. Can't thank him enough for his efforts! You're making a great choice choosing this B&B. Well-worth the money.
