I booked Inn at Great Neck 3-4 months in advance for a wedding. They called me TWO days before my stay to let me know that they overbooked and that I would be transferred to their sister hotel, Adria Hotel and Conference. They would not give a discount or any concession for the inconvenience. This would have been fine if it was the same quality of hotel but the Adria is a 3 star and the Inn at Great Neck is a 4 star. The price difference was only about $10 a night between the two. Immediately I went online to look at the reviews for Adria and saw they were terrible. I thought "okay, maybe it's not that bad, also it's too late to book another hotel or Airbnb because it's two days before." Boy was I wrong! Checked in at the Adria and immediately found many dirty stains and issues in need of repair in the room. The room felt unsanitary. The towels we got had stains and hair all over them and when I asked for more, all of the "new" ones they gave also had stains on them. But there was nothing I could do as it was a weekend and all the other nicer hotels in the area were booked or charged 300+ a night. I'm disappointed that Inn at Great Neck moved my reservation to a lesser hotel only two days before. Had I gotten advance notice of this, I would immediately have booked somewhere else as the Adria was shabby and filthy as expected. Sure, I know Adria is a 3 star hotel, but I have stayed in other 3 star hotels that have been immaculate. Inn at Great Neck’s reasoning for moving my reservation was that they had another wedding party that extended their stay. They extended last minute and I booked 4 months ago. Inn at Great Neck clearly did not care that I had already booked and let the other wedding party stay additional nights. This happened to many other guests at the same wedding and none of us were happy about it. I will be leaving a separate review for the Adria.…
Anthony was amazing at coordinating our wedding (twice!lol) and it was a very busy holiday weekend Saturday night wedding! He accommodated us for a brunch, an after party last minute, and had amazing communication through the whole process. They gave us digital/email hotel booking information so we can tell our guests immediately about room blocks & also paper cards for invites etc. they sent us updated lists as well as guests booked so if we needed to extend our block, we had plenty of time. The day of the wedding, they allowed us to stop in before reception (the bus & roles Royce hung outside and waited and had a couple of drinks at the bar …and it was a very rainy day but the hotel staff was there helping us get back and forth the bus so we didn’t get wet. Anthony Helped us set up a shuttle to and from the hotel to the reception as well. It was seamless & also a very clean and efficient shuttle! They also had on the screen in their hotel lobby our wedding shuttle times/ brunch time for our guests so whoever was staying there had the information always. Checkout wasn’t until after the private brunch which was also amazing , so no one had to go out of their way for late checkout or skip out of brunch early! (PS the Private brunch was delicious, our guests came and went for the 2 hours we blocked and the food was always refreshed and warm. Beds were very comfortable, and the rooms, bathrooms were very clean!!!! Every staff member were so respectful and kind! Overall great experience. Everything we paid for was worth it and the prices of everything were extremely fair my husband and I were very pleased :)…
There are only 2 hotels in Great Neck: The Andrew, and the Inn at Great Neck. The Andrew is a dump, so the Inn wins by default. But it's a 3-star hotel with 4-star rates. It needs a major renovation. And during my most recent trip, I was incredibly disappointed by the fact that I couldn't get the Yankee or Mets games on tv in my room because the Inn doesn't subscribe to those channels. Really?! Maybe we'll stay in Port Washington or Massapequa next time.
This hotel is the best hotel in great neck the staff is great and wonderful super friendly. The room are super clean and Roomy the beds are so soft and very comfortable. The music they play great it very quiet .
We used the Inn at Great Neck for our wedding block hotel and we are so grateful we did. The entire experience working with the staff from this hotel was amazing from start to finish. Aside from the hotel being a preferred vendor with our venue, My husband and I actually won a free honeymoon night stay as one of the raffle prizes that were given out at our venue showcase back in the fall of 2019. Once we received that, we knew it was a no brainer to book this hotel as part of our wedding block. We met with Anthony Ferrerosa in October of 2019 and he graciously walked us through everything we needed to know about our big day. He put me at ease knowing if I didn't max out all the rooms we reserved that we wouldn't be penalized for it. Fast forward to 2020, everyone knows what happened then. Unfortunately, we ended up postponing our wedding to December of 2021. The postponement process with the Inn at Great Neck was nothing short of a breeze, everything from December 2020 transferred right over to the following December. After what felt like a decade of waiting we finally approached our wedding. About a month before our big day, we met with Anthony to go over all the details once more. Anthony made sure every detail was solidified for us, he even made sure details that had nothing to do with the hotel were in place, which my husband and I both really appreciated. We felt very taken care of at Inn and knew that they wanted our day to be just as successful as we wanted it to be. Thankfully, our big day went off without a hitch! The Inn at GN provided our guests with a shuttle service from the hotel to the venue and vice versa at the end of the night too. Our guests were also greeted with welcome bags that the Inn graciously distributed for us. When my husband and I got to the hotel the night of our wedding they offered to hold our cake for us in the big fridge in the kitchen so it didn't go bad (THE BEST!) When we finally got to our suite it was decorated with rose petals and champagne! The perfect way to end such an amazing day! We are both so grateful we used the Inn at GN and couldn't have asked for better service from beginning to end. Anthony will always be one of our favorite people and we hope to work with him again in the future!…
I'm a many-time guest, and the hotel never disappoints. Great service, ambiance and location. Great restaurant too! Spacious and well-appointed rooms with a quiet chill atmosphere. Twenty eight minutes to Manhattan by train with the station being adjacent to the hotel.
This hotel is close to all the local places (food, retail, coffee, and train) and all these places are within walking distance. The rooms are comfortable, beds are good and bathrooms are adequate. The hotel itself needs an uplift, there is peeling wallcovering and the carpets are a bit dated but otherwise a good place to stay.
Great place to have a party! Beautiful space, great food and an amazing staff who went above and beyond! Anthony Ferrerosa helped make every detail of the event perfect! Bartenders, Amy and Corey offered outstanding service. Servers were super attentive. Hospitality and then some. My guests were impressed and I was thrilled with the entire event, from planning phase through party phase. Stayed the night and was pleased with the accommodations of the hotel as well. Highly recommend and can’t wait to throw another event there!
I've stayed in many hotels around the world, but my experience at the Inn at Great Neck was most disappointing. On arrival the receptionist at the front desk could not have been less welcoming if he tried. We had to ask questions for everything - for example - what do you need to register, where the lift was, where the restaurant was? Information that receptionists generally provide you with on arrival, with an accommodating smile. Our experience in the restaurant also left a lot to be desired. The bartender didn't attend to our group, we had to ask him for the drinks menu (even though we had been seated for approx. half an hour) to which he claimed that there wasn't one, even though it had been offered to a couple earlier. He eventually took our order for drinks and food and it was a much longer time later that we began to wonder why the food was taking so long to arrive. To our astonishment it turned out that the chef/cook had disappeared! No one thought to inform us, so that we could make alternative arrangements as it was quite late in the evening. We were somewhat confused at this situation, as we had seen groups of people eating on our arrival in the restaurant. I feel saddened at the lack of hospitality that we received during our short stay and for that reason I will never stay at or recommend this hotel to anyone.…
Two weeks before my grandson's Bar Mitzvah, we were told that the hotel which was holding our reservations ( 20 rooms) and Brunch arrangements had overbooked and we had nothing! Anthony Ferrerosa to the rescue! The Inn at Great Neck was able to accomodate our guests and also provide a fabulous brunch. Anthony took care of every detail in providing appropriate rooms, coordinating the transportation and even checking the weather to decide whether the brunch should be indoors or outdoors. Due to flight delays and cancellations, Anthony made sure that our guests had late check-outs and early check-ins when needed. My son arrived at 7:30 AM and Anthony was on the phone with a room for him. Anthony responded immediately to any question or concern. The brunch was fabulous and Gabby and Josie were extremely attentive and so very pleasant. The Inn at Great Neck is a charming hotel with superior, caring customer service. They will be my first recommendation for anyone needing a hotel in the area. I look forward to hosting a party there in the future. Thank you Anthony, for making a potentially horrible situation into a wonderful experience.…
