Continued our walk of the Thames Path for the first time since the pandemic began and the Swan Hotel met all our needs. Within a couple of hundred metres from the path, Riverside setting, evening meal, comfortable bed, lovely shower, breakfast and very friendly staff. Both meals were taken outside, lovely sunset over the Thames. If you were looking to find a fault it made the noise from drinkers below our bedroom window. But that would be churlish, we are hopefully coming out of a dreadful period in our lives and surely people are allowed to enjoy themselves. If I hadn't been so tired I would have gone down and joined them. Thank you to all the staff who made us laugh and made us welcome, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Found this place opposite where we were staying and though we’d try it for an evening meal. The staff were extremely attentive, nothing was to much of an ask for them and even with one member of our party having special dietary requirements nothing bothered them. The food was amazing and the river side location is beautiful. It was very warm while we were there and decided to eat out side, just wow, stunning views and perfect alfresco experience. Clearly this old building has been very sympathetically renovated and restored. 10 out of 10 will definitely return again and hopefully will stay at the swan hotel too.

I visited the swan while on a day out with my friends. We were served by a guy called steven. He was so attentive and funny really made our afternoon. His knowledge of the menu and recommendation went down well as he loves the “Kiev” which two of us had and it was great. Couldn’t recommend the place to visit for a relaxed and amazing experience. Before our drinks were finished we had another on the way so we had a great tike and get relaxed.

It was our first weekend away after lockdown and we picked the perfect place to stay and to meet our son and his partner. The hotel is in a perfect location next to the Thames, just on the outskirts of town. But we didn't really want to leave the hotel, it was so pleasant (in spite of the rain). Lovely rooms (with a balcony overlooking the river), a fabulous bar and restaurant, and the most amazing, friendly staff. We had a range of meals over the weekend (including Sunday lunch) and the food was all excellent. Thank you for a lovely and memorable stay

Expect the rules to change during your visit to this establishment during Covid-19! Obviously they are very quiet but are trying to force you to have more food to stay after 3 drinks each, so it is like order some food and you can have a maximum of 3 drinks, then you have to Order more food to stay longer! Just a warning to you all, as we were very upset by the attitude change after the first food and drinks order! My food wasn’t even hot but I was just grateful to be out so didn’t complain! Omg I’ve just had diarrhoea twice, terrible stomach, not sure if it’s the food or drink but my food was cold! Here is a photo of my bill for myself, shows how they are inflating the prices... over £6 for a pint of lager🤦‍♂️they even charge a service charge🤦‍♂️
