A few weeks ago we spent 2 nights at Camp Amalinda. The scenery is just brilliant. We really liked our room and the friendly staff made us feel at home. It was a very special experience to walk with the rhinos. We recommend this special place! Warm regards, Pieter and Ilona

What an introduction to Zimbabwe! Camp Amalinda is quite extraordinary, and every room makes clever use of the rocky hillside on which it sits. Our room (room 3) was huge and extremely comfortable, with its own little deck looking out to the bushland. The pool and bar area, as well as the restaurant and fire-pit area, were amazing. Billy and...

We stayed with a group of friends for 3 nights in early May at the start of our 2 week safari holiday im Zimbabwe. Amalinda provides unique accommodation set within the granite rocks of the area. It catered beautifully for our group of 18. The food was excellent and the walks and game viewing stunning.

My wife, daughter and I spent two nights at Amalinda in April 2017. It made an excellent and atmospheric base from which to explore the Matopos Hills: a short drive in one direction to the entrance to the Recreational Park and in the other direction to the Game Park. The camp itself is very imaginatively laid out on several levels...

This tucked away little place is like nowhere I've ever stayed. The rooms are magical and the staff are just fabulous. What a gorgeous lodge with incredible views, accommodation, and service. The rooms are built into the granite rocks and they've done an amazing job incorporating the natural features. Simply beautiful.

Hello Maaya! Thank you so much for this lovely review. We loved having you all at Amalinda and wish you could have stayed longer. We hope you will be back again soon. The rooms take our first time guests by surprise every time. They are so unique and innovative and the imagination and foresight required to construct them is nothing...

Absolute phantastic romantic Location. The room was like in a dream, in the middle of and built around granite Stones. Service was outstanding. Even before asking wishes were already fulfilled. Food was comparable to a five star Restaurant, creative, tasty and delicious.

Thank you for this wonderful review Sonia. When our guests are happy - we are happy! We love that just our rooms can create a sensation. Every single one is so different and equally luxurious. Even the Flintstones would be impressed! Food of course is always an important experience during any safari and we are so glad that you were...

We had one night at Camp Amalinda and loved it! There is something really special about the wide open spaces of the Matopos - the grandeur and the solitude. The setting of Camp Amalinda is spectacular and the service was first class.

Sheila, you have captured the very essence of Amalinda in a few, special words. Grandeur is exactly what it is. Humbling, glorious and unforgettable. Thank you for this amazing review and spending time with us. Guests do not realise just how incredible the Matopos is and Camp Amalinda itself, just lends itself to the setting. An incredible location with accommodation that is unrivalled in the area. We had a fantastic guide and due to heavy rains did a fair amount of walking through some village communities which was a highlight and the guide made it especially his interaction with the local communities which is part of what Camp Amalinda are involved with. The rhino tracking...

I discovered CA by accident but if this hotel was in Kenya or South Africa etc it would be in the Conde Nast Traveller Top 10 Hot List. For a start where in the world do you return to your ancestral roots and sleep in a cave, this was a unique sleeping experience right up there with Giraffe Manor in...
