Linkwasha Camp (opened May 2015) lies in Hwange’s south-eastern corner, on the private Linkwasha Concession. Situated on the same site as the old Linkwasha, the camp is close to the famed Ngamo Plains, which offer fantastic summer game viewing – to add to the already excellent winter viewing within the Linkwasha Concession. Overlooking a pan that is a magnet for game across all seasons, the fresh, open and airy design of Linkwasha Camp is complemented by an eclectic mix of contemporary interiors with the original spirit and essence of safari. Eight en-suite luxury tents and one family tent look out over the waterhole, while the main area includes various multi-level decks, a pool area and a winter lounge complete with library.

My daughter and I were blessed to visit Linkwasha this past spring and it was just amazing! Lovemore, our guide, was just incredible and we not only saw every amazing animal we hoped to see, but got to experience a visit to a village and school which was a highlight for my 16 year old daughter. Madison and I hope to come back someday soon. It was really perfect.

I recently spent three amazing days at Linkwasha. I am a huge fan of Wilderness Safaris (this is the 10th camp that I have stayed at) and it just gets better and better with every trip. The camp is beautiful and overlooks a waterhole which is frequented daily by everything from lions to buffaloes. We were lucky to see a herd of between 300 and 400 buffaloes come down to drink one day, and the next day a pride of seven lions were in the camp while we were enjoying breakfast. But it is the exceptional Zimbabwean staff who make a stay there so memorable. They are truly amazing -- warm, welcoming and so friendly. Our guide, Lovemore, is passionate about his work and we learned so much from him about every aspect of the bush. If you visit in July, as we did, be prepared for a cold start to the day as temperatures drop to the single digits at night and first thing in the morning. We had electric blankets and huge duvets on the beds -- a real treat! -- and roaring log fires welcomed us to the lounge and dining areas every evening before we attacked yet another delicious meal. Anyone visiting Africa should not miss Zimbabwe and definitely should make sure they stay at Linkwasha. Thank you, Wilderness, for a truly memorable trip! Ann Braun

Linkwasha is a wonderfully constructed tent camp with lovely large individual tents and beautifully placed main tent facilities. The staff was great from the pick up from the bush plane to everyday camp life. Our tent was comfortable with drinks and a jar of really good cookies. Camp became very cold at night but the individually heated mattress and the layers of blankets was heaven. The daily meals were delicious. Our safari guide Lovemore was excellent as was the game viewing on the wide savanna plains.

My family and I visited Linkwasha camp in June. The camp is new and the tents and facilities are amazing. What made our stay at this camp was our guide Eustice. Eustice is such a knowledgeable guide and really took time to show us everything. He helped educate us on the game, surroundings, fact patterns but became a friend as well. He made our experience at Linkwasha an unforgettable one. The food is also top notch at this camp. Morning breakfast at the BBQ before a drive into a village community was also a highlight. Thank you to the Linwasha family for making this experience so wonderful. LOTS of pictures of animals from this camp and our stay wouldn't have been the same without being with Eustice on our game drives and dinners. One more highlight was being in the bunker watching a herd of about 400 water buffalo come through to drink followed by 60+ elephants. Surreal!

We just departed the fabulous Linkwasha Camp locates in the Hwange Nat’l Park. It was our first trip to Zimbabwe but given the excellent accommodations, fabulous guide (Peter) and staff and the delicious food, it will not be our last. Whether being met at the airstrip or returning from a game drive, you are always greeted by friendly faces ready to tend to your every need. Our incredibly knowledgeable guide Peter picked us up and immediately took us to a pride of lions and their dominant male. It was unbelievable and my children (16, 13 & 12) were as blown away as we were. The pictures and memories we got in 3 days will last a lifetime. Joe and all his team were amazingly kind, enthusiastic and professional. Tina (nickname of man who often helped serve meals), Chef Brian who made delicious food, and so many others helped to make this the start of the best vacation ever! Wilderness has excellent service and people. Our shuttle drivers were amazing as well as our pilots. I highly recommend this outfit and we will absolutely use them again! Thank you to all the staff at Linkwasha and especially our 5-star guide Peter Gaba!!!!
