This camp was the last destination of our trip and it couldn’t have been a better ending! The camp has no fences at all and you’re surrounded by wild animals. There‘s a water hole close by, which is why you can watch elephants, zebras, antilopes etc. from your room, while having dinner or while laying at the pool. You are part of the nature in this camp. It was the most exciting and adventurous stay for us for sure, because you are so close to the wild life! The baboons are all over the place for example and we heard hyenas close to our tents at night. We met other very friendly guests there. The atmosphere was always very very friendly, familiar and humorous. The stuff was the friendliest it could have ever been. Not fake but because they are grateful for their live and their jobs. The food was excellent plus they always provided gluten-free alternatives for me. The game drives were always very successful! Our guide Richard knew everything about the wildlife and more! He discovered the most beautiful places for sundowner and showed us all the animals. There was absolutely nothing missing. One day we visited a little native village, called Ngamo. We visited the school and got to talk to the teachers, students and the villages leader. This was a great insight into the live and culture of Simbabwes country site, a very good experience for sure. This camp is highly recommended! Especially if you’re looking for adventures and if you want to experience Africa as thoroughly as possible.

Just got back from my favorite safari destination, Zimbabwe. This was my first time at Davison’s camp but I was so happy to discover that we would have the same guide as my previous trip to Hwange (Little Makalolo). Themba is probably my favorite guide of any of the guides I have had on my 9 safaris. He is passionate about guiding and the wildlife. He shares so much of his extensive knowledge about the animals and how they fit into the environment. He is also funny and entertaining and just a wonderful person. The camp itself is rated an “Adventure” level Wilderness camp, which is their lowest level. But honestly, this camp has everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was great. The tents were just fine and had a wonderful view of the waterhole, where there were often animals to watch from our tent during the mid day. Sightings were great. And of course, there are a lot of elephants!! It was very very cold in the early mornings and at night. We wore all of our layers to start the morning, in addition to the wool lined ponchos provided and the “bush baby” hot water bottles. By the morning coffee/tea stop, we were peeling off the layers. I always request the tent furthest from the main area as i like the animals close by and also not to hear people’s voices once I get back to my tent. We were in #9 which was perfect, except for the long walk in the sand to get there!! HAHA! No complaints at all about the camp and I would 100% recommend this camp.

Went with my 16 year old twins and had 6 days of bliss - exceptional guide Ian, great food, fantastic comfort and not an unfriendly face anywhere. Honestly it's exceptional. Well done to all involved.

We have never been disappointed in every of one of our numerous past visits to Davisons. We love the rustic yet comfortable ambience. The staff friendliness and food are outstanding. We are fortunate enough to obtain our excellent guide Mike, although all other guides are personable and knowledgeable.

What a wonderful experience I had visiting Davison’s Camp. From the warm greetings of the staff, especially Nomi and Abbi to Richard, my guide and the rest of the staff it was a memorable experience from start to finish. The game drives were adventurous. Richard was knowledgeable and passionate. We were lucky enough to see lions mating, lion cubs playing, elephants splashing in a watering hole, cheetahs chasing a prey and so much more. It was fun filled and educational. Amazing to see the animals up close along with the breathtaking sunsets. The camp was cozy, intimate with wonderful personalized service. I would highly recommend it. I hope to be back one day. Thank you to everyone at Davison’s for making my vacation a trip of a lifetime Noelle
