We stayed in this hotel for 6 days in October. We’re silver Hilton honours members but this didn’t really give any obvious benefits. When we arrived at the boat dock they were refurbishing the dock and facilities so limited space to sit/places to get drinks etc. It would have been nice to be emailed in advance but this is only minor. Our boat was also delayed due to poor weather - not the hotels fault but then the journey out was reasonably smooth. When you arrive, loads of staff are there to wave and welcome you and it’s a really lovely first impression. You then get taken by golf buggy in small groups for a brief tour of the resort which is helpful to get your beatings. We’d gotten the early boat over and so our room wasn’t yet ready - we expected this and it was fine. However, the person doing our tour left us in the bar and we were left a bit unsure as to what the process was meant to be. There were breakfast pastries which was a nice thought although I’m gluten and lactose intolerant (which the hotel knew in advance) and there was nothing for me to eat. We were left in the bar for over two hours with no updates. This was frustrating for us as we’d rather have been able to enjoy some pool time or explore and return to reception at check-in time rather than just sit and wait. I feel this process could be vastly improved. The resort is stunning. The beach and colour of the sea have to be seen to be believed. We had a few days of rain and even then it was one of the most incredible views I’d ever seen. The main pool is also stunning although shaded chairs go fast. The hotel also ran out of towels a lot. There is beautiful fauna and Flora and loads of animals/insects/birds. We loved just exploring and wandering. We found the resort well lit and we’re happy to walk around at night. If you really don’t want to/can’t walk the hotel will pick you up in buggies. The villas are stunning with high ceilings and loads of windows. We had a beach front villa and loved listening to the waves roll in. The villa is really spacious with a massive bed, sofa area, garden with sun beds, chairs and hammocks and one of the biggest bathrooms I’ve ever seen in hotel. Two sinks, separate shower, bath and outdoor shower. Some of the garden view villas lacked privacy and we were glad we’d paid the extra for the beach view. The villas with pools looked incredible but are pricey. When we were visiting the hotel had put a small info sheet on the types of lizards etc in the room. I presume in response to the ridiculous trip advisor review. For reference these are small harmless Geckos which do humans no harm what so ever. We loved watching them on the ceilings and hearing them chirp but if this will really ruin your trip then tropical islands anywhere probably aren’t for you! Food We stayed on a b&b basis as I prefer not to eat at buffets. We ate at all the restaurants during our stay and would recommend them all. We didn’t have a bad meal. Our favourite was probably Sakura for great Asian food in a beautiful setting. Other than our welcome experience, the hotel was incredible at catering for my dietary requirements. Chefs and servers double checked what I could eat and made me food off the menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This level of effort and care was so appreciated. At breakfast there was a separate station with bread, muffins, etc. The chefs at Sakura made me a delicious gluten and lactose free birthday cake on my birthday with a great celebration delivery which made me really emotional. (Thank you Shane for organising). We love that the resort is plastic free so you get given bottles to fill with filtered water. This is a great gesture. The spa is also really beautiful. The way it has been built into the rocks was really beautiful. With a treatment you get access to an additional pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna. The treatments are expensive but no more than other spas in resorts. The gym was a decent size for the hotel - good aircon and range of equipment and weights. We don’t have children yet but there seemed to be really good facilities for children (kids club, cinema etc). The journey back was more rough and although we were fine a couple of people were not. When we arrived back on Mahe despite having prebooked a transfer with Hilton from the dock to our next destination and being told it was waiting when we got off the boat we were suddenly told it wasn’t and would have to wait. We were left 45 minutes on our own with no drinks or updates on what had happened and told to just wait if we tried to ask, no apologies. Overall this is an incredible resort and we would recommend it and hope to return in the future. If the hotel could just refine their arrival/departure procedures slightly it would have been perfect for us. People in particular we wanted to shout at for their excellent service and making our stay so memorable: Shane and John from management Dinesh, Brenda, Hesham and Simon from the restaurant Dinah - our housekeeping gentleman.

Hotel's Favorite
This hotel is undoubtedly situated in the most idyllic location I have ever visited . Silhouette is truly a Paradise island , and the Hilton Labritz Resort and Spa is an absolute Oasis . We were met from the mainland by a motor boat , all our bags were delivered straight to our rooms and we were transported by golf buggy from the harbour to our luxurious rooms . We stayed in a beach front villa that lead straight out onto the beautiful white sandy beach . The villas are very well appointed, have air conditioning, mini bar and are quite luxurious . Our cleaner Sanjay , did a wonderful job for us , he was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble ! And on the last evening he prepared a beautiful “Romantic Bath “, which we really enjoyed . The swimming pool is close to the beach and was very clean , there are chairs , loungers and hammocks on the private beach too . There are five restaurants and two bars that also serve snacks . We ate in most of them and the food was of a very high standard, in the main buffet restaurant “Cafe Durban” we had a different themed meal offer every evening and again the standard was very good indeed ! These are of course the functional attributes but the thing that impressed me even more than all this .. was the quality of the staff and the unrivalled service that each and every one offers us . There are too many to mention by name but Sanjay, Udhajy and Prajeesh were three that deserve a particular mention . I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel , this is the best service we have ever received and as a Hilton Honors Diamond member I have experienced many Hilton’s . We left with a feeling of peace tranquility and wellbeing from this beautiful place We will definitely be coming back .. thank you to all the team that made our holiday so special!

This resort is in a truly beautiful setting on a private island. All the staff work hard to make sure that your stay is incredible. The beach villas are idyllic and very romantic. Our housekeeper Gitan gave us the best service we have ever had and we travel to many five star hotels. The restaurant menus are fairly limited but this is understandable as all food has to be brought to this island which cannot be easy. The restaurants are in beautiful settings with one having tables on the beach with the sea coming in at your feet. Magical. There are lovely walks on the island but if you walk far the terrain is rough so take good trainers. There are a lot of families but the children’s activity tends to be clustered around the pool and there are many quiet areas on the beach for couples. The resort is very well maintained with soft lighting at night making it very romantic. It is quite spread out which is lovely and the buggy can be cold if necessary but it is very nice to walk around and there are also bicycles available. This hotel is not cheap but if you can afford it do it it is worth it.

This was our second visit to the Hilton Labriz. We loved the hotel before, and we loved it now as well. As usual, the hotel never disappointed us on anything. This short vacation was a perfect getaway from our stressful daily life. Right from the start at the Hotel lounge and jetty till our check out we loved every bit of our vacation. The staff of the hotel is very passionate about what they do. We never had any problems. The room was made elegant; our requests were fulfilled on time. Hotel restaurants offer outstanding and delicious food. They have 7 restaurants and 2 bars to keep your different taste of food on a check. The beach was clean and pretty. The fallen trees, the swing on the side of the beach is quite picturesque. While swimming we had a few fishes swimming around us. The hotel's spa has great treatments and location. Also, the hotel offers so many activities that will keep you busy and happy. The overall experience was a memorable one.
