We chose that hotel as the reviews were in general very good. Also, considering the very high price per night (we booked in May, but maybe there were already not many rooms left making prices higher), we expected a clean room with normal, functional facilities. We got a room called "flanboyant ", which we thought was a joke when we entered the room. A dirty bathroom with blue broken tiles, lights with spiderwebs, air conditioning making noise like you were in a butchers cooling room, a scandal. We asked to change rooms and the room were were given was clean. I therefore can only assume that that hotel has still a couple of old dirty rooms left that will be refreshed, as analysing reviews, I have the impression some did the same experience than us. But it is not only the room. They charge the cocktails as expensive as in a five star hotel, you have to drink it at the table as there is no bar lounge, food was just above the acceptable, we had a fish curry mixed to spinach where there were more fishponds that flesh in it. We definitely do not understand the good reviews, this is a total mystery to us as that hotel nearly ruined our stay in la digue.…
We took a room for 960 euros for 3 nights. No drinking water in the room, you want water, there is a paid mini bar for 45 Seychelles rupees outlets everywhere English, adapters only 10pcs. for the entire hotel (that's what they said at the reception). Dinners one day buffet, the second a la carte, when the menu is very poor, a huge plate of cooked rice and a small piece of fish. Queues at breakfasts and dinners. Wi-fi works fine during the day when all the tourists disperse, in the evening and in the morning works very poorly or does not work at all. Bikes for rent are 150 rupees a day. The bikes are almost all old and rusty, but if you're lucky, you can find one in relatively decent condition. The room is granny-remodeling. The hotel is definitely not worth the money they don't want for it. …
It was on of the best Hotels ive ever been to! We woke up every day with a sunny view and beautiful water, and enjoyed our breakfast with great food👍 It has a good bar where u can drink cocktails at the pool (with awesome view) or realax at the palm besch. Thank you for the great stay!
You can pay two or three times as much for a garden view at a five star hotel, or you can come to a three star place where every room has a five star view right on the ocean, where you can listen to the waves fro your balcony, where there is really good snorkeling right in front of the hotel (swim out a bit then turn to the right and go about 30-50 meters. Yesterday I saw 4 turtles as well as rays, beautiful fish and much more live coral than I've seen elsewhere on this island.) No, there's no turn down service, nor 24 hour reception. But the food is good, there are wonderful family-sized cushioned shaded lounges above the beach, and Lindy at the front desk is perpetually cheery and helpful. I don't know how she does it. I'm sad that today is my last of ten days here. This morning I watched dolphins from my balcony cavorting in front of the hotel. This place is very reasonably priced, and I would come back here in a heartbeat. The location on the quieter north side of the island is perfect for people who don't want to be in the middle of the tourist scene.…
This hotel was a disappointment. Hotel is located far away from the center up on a hill. In hotel there was no elevator and staircases were steep and long. Not suitable hotel to those with walk restrictions. The hotel staff seemed indifferent and unconcerned. The best thing in this hotel is that views from hotel is spectacular. The stairs to breakfast was hard to manage. Breakfast was available only for two hours early in the morning. If customer didn't wake up early enough, he didn't get any food in the hotel until in the evening. The breakfast hall was very hot and there was no air conditioning. Food was not especially good. Furthermore it was shocking to see that birds were also eating the same food. The level of hygienia was terrible.
Location is best on the island by a HUGE margin. The gardens, lobby, and pool area are all very well done. Only 3 rooms in the main building, most are on the hill side of the road. in seperate units about which I cannot opine as we splurged on the captains Room andso should you if it is available. INCREDIBLE seaviews, and balconies on THREE sides. The decoration, nautical theme, is SUPERBLY executed. As we occupied the catbird seat we never left the hotel area for the 3 nights we enjoyed the room. other than snorkeling. AMAZING visibility. Best spot is against the rocks to the far left if facing the sea. Two BIG gripes about the room, first the mattress must be 2 decades old and is in no way flat but has an indentation in the middle so deep getting comfortable is impossible. No fitted bottom sheet either so with the dip the sheet will not stay fixedto the disgraceful mattress. The other issue is the fact that the windows are filthy and appear to have not been cleaned since the mattress was replaced. A minor annoyance was a freezer not defrosted since windows cleaned and mattress replaced. I solved that by taking the refridgerator out on the balcony and exposing the iceberg to the blistering sun which cut through it like a hot knife through butter. As to service, we had loads of baggage but upon arrival were brusquely told to carry it ourselves so dont expect a bellboy to help. And the steps to Captain's room are very steep. As to the restaurant, two big pluses are Rivo from Madagascar whose should be running the place, TREMENDOUS customer service and just a very sweet man. He's the only one I tipped, please do the same. The other big plus is unlimited ice, ask for a bucket, we'd get it refilled twice a day. The ambiance outside is tremendous too. About the food, I STRONGLY disagree with the reviewers who said it was good. I agree that the breakfast buffet is picked clean by about 830am so GO EARLY. I rate the food poor. WHATEVER you do not NOT order the lamb chops which is frozen chewy mutton buried in sauce. Despite being famished one bite was plenty. Absolutely inedible. Even though Captain's room includes dinner, but NEVER drinks even water and which are priced in the stratosphere, after the first night I skipped it. "Lemonade" is actually sprite and its downhill from there. They put this creole sauce on most all entrees to mask poor ingredients. Two thumbs down from me on the food. But if you go to Seychelles for the food you are unclear on the concept.…
And a jewel it is. Really, this hotel is located at a wonderful, spectacular small beach, seamed with some gorgeous granite rocks, and offers a breathtaking view over Coco island, Felicite and both sister islands. The room's equipped with lots of comfortable amenities such as airco, fridge and hairdryer. The hotel's staff is utmost friendly and especially the good-humored hotel manager Lindy and charismatic restaurant manager Anfy are perfect examples of great competence. The food was great, a highlight was the branch of bananas hanging from the ceiling where one can cut off as many fresh bananas as wished. Fresh fruit, juices, toast, choices of tropical fruit jam, yoghurt, various sweet indulgences such as banana cake are a real delight. A cook from Madagascar makes professional omelets and crepes at your convenience and there's also a choice ofhot sausages, baked beans, pasta, cheese etc.. Breakfast was served until 9h30, but if you enjoyed late breakfast, there was mostly not that much food left. That was the only lowlight of our Patatran adventure. The 3 bikes we rented were in great shape, so was - most of the time - the quality of WiFi. The small beach offers one of the best snorkeling experiences, topped only by Anse Marron beach. All in all we enjoyed an excellent stay and if we decide to revisit this picturesque little Creole island, we will definitely be back at this hotel, a tropical , friendly, charming jewel at Anse Patates that deserves the best recommendation and offers an excellent standard of quality for a moderate price.…
We send a few nights in Patatran hotel, the hotel is very well located. We had a very nice welcomed by Lindy and her team. The honeymoon room is located on the hill and the view is amazing, the food is very typical , simple good and tasty. The service team in the restaurant is very nice- try the outside kiosk for breakfast and their local juice. I have read a few reviews reviews before coming to the hotel, la Digue is an easy going island, enjoy the luxury of a drink at the bikini bottom, watch the sunset on the beach at Anse Patate. Rooms are clean and well maintained, the garden is beautiful. Bicycle are available at the reception. I will for sure come back there on my next trip to La digue. Transportation from the jetty may be organized as well contact Lindy she has all the contacts .…
Together with my husband, we stayed in the hotel in July 2021. We both are from Ukraine and decided to get married here in Seychelles. Below I will describe each topic separately: Room: every day cleaning. We had a standard room - it was really spacious. Each room has its own balcony with a sunbed. There are a wardrobe (for clothes hangers mainly) and a tiny fridge where you can chill water. Hotel team: very nice and pleasant people! I love them. Everywhere - in the restaurant or on the street they always smile at you and offer help. Beach: there is a small but very beautiful beach near the main building of the hotel. It looks like a paid beach in the national park of the La Digue (Anse Source d'Argent). but a smaller version of it Hotel Territory: the hotel is located near the water. On the rocks (so there are stairs to each room). there is a thin road that separates the hotel from the water (guests use it for cycling). There is a swimming pool with a view near the restaurant. Also, there are a few free bungalows with the ocean view Food(we had a half board plan): there are 3-4 salads and 5-6 main dishes on each dinner. A lot of fish and seafood are served. Breakfast - cereal, local fruits (mango, papaya, oranges, pineapple, etc), different local jams, eggs, beans, sausages. drinks are not included in the half-board plan, the price of the cocktail is around 120 sr. soft drinks cost less. There is no water in the room as well, but at the nearest store, you can buy it for 15 rupees. The Island: la Digue is a perfect island for the couple's vacation. People are very kind. Everybody is smiling at you (population +- 2000 persons). there are no fancy restaurants, but the nature is gorgeous. The size of the island is 3x5 km and its possible to rent a bike and visit everything in 1-2 days Wedding: Our wedding ceremony was perfectly organized by the hotel manager Lizzy. She helped us with everything starting from documents and ending with photo shooting. Best emotions. Thanks for everything!. PC. to get married you just need to bring passports (English) your birth certificates (with Apostil, translated into English - there is no need to get Apostil into the English version of the document, it is enough to have it on original), and application document (can be found on Seyshellas gov site)…
The room was perfect, clean, the view was amazing, the hotel location is very good.. Staff are always smiling and supportive. Breakfast buffet was OK, not multiple options but overall was very delicious.. A la. Carte menu is. Reasonably priced and. Food is tasty.. The only disadvantage that water is always charged separately however this is the case all over seychelles.. BR
