Bit far from jetty when you arrived by ferry , however you may have a transfer from jetty if required. Room is tidy ans convenient, clean every day, bed could be found as firm , but good for the back and you can sleep. Breakfast is with fresh fruits, tea or coffee, toasts, some time eggs. Restaurant is most of time créole buffet with végétale , fish , fresh grilled fish and chicken with delicious sauces and dressing. People are friendly. Remember most of time, being a tourist, the staff is a mirror of your behavior, so being nice and friendly you will have nice and happy people front of you.l warmly recommend this guest house. Madame Rose is a very nice and helpful person. Little market close to guest house have soft price and quite lot of items.

Good: Friendly welcome (incl refreshing welcoming drink) and reasonable priced bicycles. The appartment were relatively clean and we received new towels every day. Bad: the apartments are really noisy. The staff always seemed stressed and arrogant, while we didn’t experienced this attitude anywhere else on the island. Example: we were not offered the free transfer from the harbor to the guest house as their flyer suggest. After no explanation nor apologies, we got a pushy answer if we “wanted to pay for a taxi or not?” They charge: 150 roepie (€10/£9) for 1.6km / 1 mile. Example 2: paying for the rental bikes. They have a good offer, but make sure you reserve this cash. On our Monday all ATMs on the island were out of cash, but we needed to pay for the bikes. Instead of letting us use their pay/cash machine, they rather had us going back into one of the banks again, queue up, find out which bank accepts visa or master. Just a lot of hassle on you last holiday - knowing we did offer to pay any additional charges for card payment. I understand things are organized differently on the island, but just didn’t experience this level of service.

We have been there in September 2018. We are still remembering the great time we had. The boss has been so nice, she sent us from the Guest House to one of the Apartments. We really enjoyed our stay on the beautiful island and in the great accommodation. She also organized the bikes, so we discovered the amazing island. Thanks so much! We would like to come back :)

We have had the best stay ever in this wonderfully family run guesthouse, the staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are fantastic and large with table and chairs and fridge and kettle, basically for the families on a budget. The AC was excellent and the breakfast was basic but perfect. I lived in Costa Rica for 6 years and this place feels identical in climate and the buildings and basically everything so it felt so homely to me. Everyone in La Digue was pleasant and nice and the lifestyle is very relaxed. Food is a little different and not cheap but priced European style. 5 euros for a takeaway. Drinks also not cheap. We booked our excursions from the beach stall holders and not from the tour company as they were a lot cheaper. We took the crystal kayaks from the coconut estate and we had an amazing three hours going round the coral reef. There are huge fruit bats flying round this mainly forested island and they eat them in curries which I wasn’t happy about. Far too Much construction going off here but what can I do about that.
