Wyndbourne is a restored 1790-era farmhouse, the home of its innkeepers. Rurally located the B&B is a 20-minute drive from Saratoga Springs and Schenectady, an easy drive north to Lake George and the Adirondack Park. There is a focus for breakfasts on fresh, sustainable, local foods. Attention is paid to particular dietary considerations. If you are looking for a quiet weekend in a period/historic environment, Wyndbourne offers a few acres for wandering, an orchard and gardens for exploring, and a view of the Massachusetts Berkshires from the property. There is a queen room with en suite bath and two rooms, a double and a twin, that share a bath. With advanced notice, the double can be offered as a suite with adjoining library and bath. An exuberant, friendly, young Australian shepherd rounds out the family and acts as a greeter when guests arrive. She is kept out of guestrooms and upstairs areas and guests are engaged in the program of teaching her to greet arrivals politely.

Gracious hosts Nancy and Ralph made us feel welcome in their beautiful 18th century B&B. Although it's tucked away in a wooded area, very easy to find thanks to landmarks and good directions, even in the dark. Clear, star studded skies, lovely grounds. Every nook...More

Our party had the red and green rooms upstairs, which included a beautiful library we could use as a sitting room. Breakfast was simple, but delicious and made with the freshest of ingredients. There's a friendly dog on the property who is sweet, but can...More

We were very pleased to host your stay in Galway! As you know, we keep working on Summit's "greeting" behavior and hope, if you return, that you will be able to see improvement and maturity. Thank you so much for taking time to write your...More

Thank you, thank you! I can't think of a better 'feel' than that of coming home and, after this past weekend, you have been with us sufficient to qualify as family. We were only sorry that we didn't have more time together to chat. We've...More

The Wyndbourne B&B was a perfect fit for us. We are country folks at heart and really appreciated the loving care and attention to detail Ralph and Nancy have put into the old post and beam farm house. Our room and attached bathroom were spotless...More

It was our pleasure to have you stay with us, although I'm not sure our resident canine would agree. We appreciate very much your willingness to take a chance on Wyndbourne and look forward to hearing whether the ginger made a successful transition to your...More
