Saw that this campground received a 10 rating from Good Sam so we chose it for the night. Obviously ratings are subjective. We have been in a 10 rated park and this park doesn't even come close. We are NOT park snobs and choose only 10s, we've stayed in a variety of parks. My biggest beef is the 10 rating.... More

We stayed here while our husbands hiked the Appalachian Trail. The Campground was exceptionally clean and full of Amenities. The restrooms were modern and very clean. They provided separate showers from the restrooms which allowed for a dry bathroom. The campground provided a great playground and putt putt as well as a number of other activities for the kids. A... We enjoyed our stay as we wanted to drive into NYC to see the One World Observatory and 9/11 memorial. Rates were a bit high for the location but nice trees. Phone staff was very helpful and accommodating. Very close to Sugar Loaf, a village full of artisans. Not easy for handicapped to maneuver the village.

We recently stayed here for Memorial Day weekend. When we checked in we were greeted right away with smiles. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The roads are well paved and we had no trouble finding our site. The sites are well marked and level. Our site was a back in we had no trouble getting in as there... More

Just got back from a weekend camping trip at the black bear campground. I had a running event in Warwick on Sat. morning. This was very convenient for us to be 15 min. away. I have a pop up camper and enjoy the Adirondacks and have camped there for about 30 years. Never had an experience quite like this! Every... More

We have stayed here twice, very nice. Each shower is private, and spacious. Each site has it's own water hook up. They worked with us on our first stay despite the fact we arrived way late, so I would say the management is easy with work with.

We stayed here for 2 nights & it was $80 a night. The water in the showers was just Luke warm, the only advantage to staying here is they have a bus tour that picks you up at the park & takes you to places in New York, but its very quick the places that you go to. The tour... More

This place should not be in business. The only reason we stayed there for as long as we did was because there are literally no other parks close to where I needed to be for work every day. What used to be beautiful land in the Warwick Valley is now a stripped out mountainside with multiple levels with parking lots... More

We used this campground as a central place from which we visited Tarrytown and NYC attractions and sites. When we first arrived, we were heartened because the entry had green space around it -- but, the campsites are all up a hill (do-able with your camper - paved road), but are rather tightly positioned. It seemed that many of the... More

We visited this campground sight unseen because of the outstanding reviews we had read. Boy, were we disappointed. At $80 per night, we expected at least a level site for our 38' 5th wheel. Not so, my friend. I guess if you're visiting NYC, this place would suffice, but even the bus tours they run out of here take 1... More
