Although I could not book The Madison, Mike, was so responsive and answered all my questions about the accommodations. He gave pointers as to activities at The Pines and how to get around. Not only did he email me, he also called and clarified some outstanding issues. I hope to be able to stay at The Madison very soon. If their rooms are as lovely as Mike - I’m sure everyone will enjoy a stay there!! That is my unsolicited opinion. KK
Lincoln was primarily the one who took very good care of me for the duration of my stay. He was helpful with making my stay comfortable, and also with pointing out excellent restaurants and bars to go to. The room was clean and comfortable and the atmosphere was so clam and pleasant that I really felt far away from home. Will definitely return!
Loved this place, the setup, the people, and the vibe. Mike (the general manager) and Lincoln and the staff are kind and welcoming. Continental breakfast each morning, the third-level sun/star-gazing deck, and the heated swimming pool were all definite perks of the experience. My husband and I will be back and look forward to it!
The Madison was everything. A warm welcome from Mike and Lincoln who truly give meaning to hospitality and professionalism. Immediate responses to questions and needs were provided and solution driven. Vaccination Required (for now). Memorial Day Weekend didn't promise sunshine, just rain...and rain it did!! In spite, a quiet and fab weekend away was had! And, lucky me, left feeling the warmth and caring of these two special people who said not to worry that my friends couldn't make it... that, I would have fun and not feel alone. Relaxed at the long communal table, met the guests passing through...all super friendly while waiting for my room. Toured the property admiring how tasteful, well organized and maintained everything was with many special seating areas to enjoy. Loved the private home feeling you get yet you have privacy...the rooftop deck with overlook of large well lit pool and view of the jacuzzi which you pass as you enter property down the winding treelined lit path...very sexy. Garden area w/grill was perfect for some steaks a few of us grabbed one night from the market nearby and had a nice dinner and conversation at the communal table. Mike whipped up a fresh breakfast each day as conversation with other seasonal repeat guests was rampant and fun. The ferry, restaurants, market and retail stores all 5 minutes in one direction and the beach 5 minutes opposite...what more could you ask for! Such a beautiful guest house that felt like home well after I left...leaving was difficult. I told Mike, "the Madison B, cozy corner king, with its modern simplicity and fab linens will be requested again and again by me!! He laughed and said, "we have other nice ones too", I replied, "ok, ok, ok" maybe I'll cheat on my favorite room and try them ALL!!…
It was my first time on the island and I couldn’t have picked a better place to stay last year. Lincoln and Mike were so hospitable and friendly which made the trip even better, I’mlooking forward to returning again this summer!
Our weekend at The Madison was absolutely delightful. Our room was right off the pool which was a HUGE delight. Just sliding open our door and sliding into the pool-amazing. You are literally STEPS from the ferry and STEPS from the beach. What more could you ask for? The team is all on top of COVID cleaning protocols and keeping guests masked in the common area. Breakfast cooked on Saturday morning was a killer bonus. Would 10/10 stay here again when we’re headed back out to The Pines.
The best part of the Madison (outside of it's convenient location off of the Harbor), is the Pool and the Rooftop View (sun lounge)! The rooms are spacious, comfortable and private. The beds are so comfy and linens are lovely. I can say after several stays it is always super clean and tidy! The Madison has a spectacular pool. It's large, lit up, always a perfect temperature and then they have a small roof top sunning deck that is a wonderful highlight of the House! Covid-19 times present some safety measures and various rules that we all just accept for the betterment of our community and the future end to this virus, but you still can get more than one cup of coffee from the manager on duty and a weekend breakfast prepared. You also have access to an outdoor grill. Plus you are only a hop, skip and a jump to pizza, sandwiches and the beautiful beach!! The staff is available to you most of the day and night and responds quickly to a text message as well when you need anything!!…
We arrived and the hotel staff checked our temperature prior to escort us to our room. Masks are required.I have to mention that the hotel staffs are very nice especially Lincoln. Overall we felt very safe although we would have appreciated if sanitizer dispenser were accessible in public areas in the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and very well prepared, yaourt with fresh berries... We had also a great time next to the pool with other friendly guests. In addition, the hotel is very well located next to the harbor and the beach. So why only an average rating? The reason is that the hotel is getting very tired. The room was clean but the bathroom was especially very tired. The whole place needs to be refreshed with new furniture, repainting the room... Considering the price we paid 440 dollars with tax per night we were expected an hotel a little bit more luxe. The design is good but really need to be refreshed.…
Nice place to stay. Beautiful pool area and clean rooms. But for 365 dollars a night the help could be friendlier., The breakfast is a shambles and the person in the kitchen makes you feel like you are disturbing him and that he is doing you a favor. Nothing is put out (COVID) and there is no menu. So you stand in front of the kitchen door guessing what they have in stock until you strike lucky. The person in the kitchen doesn't give any clues away. You stand 10 minutes waiting for him to toast your 2 mini bagels (you butter it yourself) and then you walk it back to your room to eat. Oh, and don't expect bagels every day, because they ran out the last day. He had no clue what he had in stock. Just an unfriendly feel for the kind of money spent.
Truly beautiful guest house steps from the harbor AND THE BEACH in the pines. The room was impeccably spotless when we arrived and we were delighted to discover that beach towels were provided! There were also several VERY cute staff members keeping the place gorgeous at all times. I simply cannot recommend this spot enough. This group follows all Covid-19 restrictions and protections with effortless ease. A perfect escape.
