Our stay was very nice. I had stayed there before about a year ago, and I enjoyed my stay then also! I loved the comfortable beds and the little coffee machine too. The only thing I think that could be improved is the water coming out of the shower. It should be a little stronger, it is too fine, more...

A truly unique hotel that feels more like a country inn. The ambiance is very low-key. The decor was wonderful. As the Inn was formerly owned by Stickley, there are Stickley pieces throughout the hotel. I loved it! Although they do not serve breakfast, you get a 20% off coupon for breakfast at the restaurant next door. If in the...

Very comfortable bed. Quiet - no ice machine within earshot! Elegant simplicity - no vending machines or computers in sight. Handsome lobby with fireplace on at all times. Attractive woodwork throughout. Great location.

A quiet comfortable clean place to sleep with a decent restaurant. Nice amenities like cold flavored water and fresh cookies in the welcoming and comfortable lobby. We're seniors and appreciated the low key atmosphere. No pickups or 18 wheelers in the parking lot.

This is the 3rd time my wife and I stayed at the inn. It's clean, no bed bugs, no bar fridge and no breakfast although a 20% discount coupon was offered for the inns resto. The inn is dated but it's charming. Staff are super nice and efficient and the complimentary (seriously though, what the hell is "free" when your...

This hotel is not far from Syracuse or Cazenovia. It is so cozy! There is a grocery store across the street. Great location!!! We were upgraded to a double suite, but not realizing the beds are truly double beds. We are not kids size, so I can't say it was a good night sleep. I didn't want to make a...

I recently spend 3 nights at the Craftsman Inn while on business. I found the the inn to have a country feeling. The rooms were very clean. The staff were very helpful, kind, and courteous. I was allowed to check in early and I needed a late check out due to travel and the staff accommodated my request. The inn...

Everyone that works there is pleasant and super helpful! I love the country feel and the small touches that make it feel like home. I am sad that you won't be available January through April due to reservation. I am also excited for you! Please hold onto that wonderful home away from home feeling and country comfort. Thanks for many...

My husband and I were in the area for a family get together and needed a room for the night so we booked online based on TripAdvisor recommendations. The location is perfect and the Fayetteville area is quaint and convenient to Syracuse. The inn itself is quaint, too, and the front desk personnel were very warm and welcoming when we...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The American Arts and Crafts Movement blossomed at the turn of the 20th century on the tree lined streets of peaceful villages in upstate New York. The movement was a personal and architectural revolt against the ornateness of the Victorian style. This Movement sparked a period of design characterized by simplicity, honestly and integrity. Here in Fayetteville, Leopold and John George Stickley created Arts and Crafts furniture using innovative construction techniques which have endured as hallmarks of the Movement. The Craftsman Inn is dedicated to these Craftsman ideals. Look around, the designs that inspire the building, the chairs and tables, the lighting and pictures, all evoke that ideal. Our Limestone Grille was launched in 2008 as the heir to our more stately Craftsman House. The Limestone reflects the 21st century evolution of these concepts as once again a desire for a simpler, truer, more authentic approach becomes prevalent. Our dining room and lounge reflect clean, Mission style design but with warm colors, classic furnishings, and contemporary appointments. Our service staff and bartenders provide friendly yet attentive service, knowledgeable without being presumptuous, helping to create the sense of relaxed comfort we all seem to miss so much of the time. That end result is what inspires us to do the best we can. ... more   less
