Like most people my family and I have not been able to travel recently. We booked a last minute get-away to the Woodcliff thinking we would give it a shot. Turned out to be a great decision! My wife and I did a couples massage and my daughter got a pedicure with her cousin who lives in the area. Oliva, James, and Eugene were amazing! I haven't been this relaxed in years! We ate the restaurant our first night but the menu was kind of small. The service and views were great though! From check-in to check-out everyone was so kind and helpful. It was exactly what we were looking for after a year stuck inside.
We had an amazing weekend at the Woodcliff! The spa was beautiful and services were excellent! We are not big golfers, but did enjoy the ease of making a reservation, the beauty of the setting and the friendliness of staff.
Checked in & told clerk we were paying cash. He said there would be $75 put on the card & reversed at check out. We go up to our dated room and discover exposed copper pipes under the vanity plus debris in the corners. Restaurant & bar had limited hours, no room service & due to lack of staff rooms would not be cleaned during our 2 day stay. We check out & drive 5 hrs home only to discover that my card was charged $465 - the cost of the room & $75. Called the "resort" & was told there was no record of our cash payment - thank God my husband got a receipt. Told it would be remedied the next day - spoiler, it wasn't. Next day I get a call from Kitty asking if I enjoyed my stay & wanted to discuss the charge. I explain the clerks mistake but only to be told it is my banks fault that it would take 5-7 biz days for the charge to be reversed. I do 3-way call with my bank & Kitty only to discover she lied and the charge could only be fixed on her end. She kept saying I needed to be more understanding that the staff was new & in training. Her apologies were less than genuine. The charge was reversed within 4 days no doubt that quick because hubby would call every day & complain. Only positive was that the bartenders in the lounge (especially Christy) were awesome! They could teach Miss Kitty a thing or three about customer service.…
We had bugs and cob webs in our room , we were treated like garbage from the gm all the way down!!! They dont let you eat anywhere ; breath anywhere !!! We felt like we were in jail !!!! This place should get shut down !!! Wouldnt recommend going there or doing anything there !!! As well as bugs in the pool !!! Rundown place !!! No cleaning service !!! Nothing !!!
Stayed a Saturday night as part of a group. Quick summary of stay: -hotel decor and quality are 1980's, worn carpets, threadbare towels - despite a total rainstorm, no umbrellas for guests going to/from parking - chaos outside as guests tried to park in front to avoid rain, no staff assisting and no bellman - staff continued to hold private non-business conversations as guests attempted to check in delaying process - almost no services open despite new Covid vax status- no housekeeping, room service, hot tub - located in an office park Basically a budget motel masquerading as a "hotel and spa".
