I was fortunate enough to stay at The Jefferson Inn twice this month with family. The bedrooms are very comfortable and clean. The main floor of the house is spacious with many places indoor and outdoor to sit, read and chat.
There are refreshments and treats (freshly baked cookies) available throughout the day, and the best of all is Jean’s spectacular breakfasts!!
The inn is a block from downtown Ellicottville’s shops and restaurants. If your travels bring you close to Ellicottville NY, you have to spoil yourself with a stay at the Inn.

We recently spent one night at this lovely Inn. It is well located to walking around the beautiful town of Elicottville, NY. This place is well furnished with many antique pieces of furniture and the rooms are all well appointed with private baths. Making reservations online was easy and communication with the host, Jean was as well. Check in was quick and well organized. Very clean everywhere inside and out. It has a lovely wrap around porch to sit on and enjoy the scenery or have a glass of wine, beer whatever. The host furnishes cold drinks and delicious chocolate chip cookies! Breakfast was very filling and delicious (three course) in addition to fresh brewed coffee and juice. Jean, the innkeeper and host was a delight to chat with at breakfast. Many great stories on how the furnishings were acquired and history of the Inn. The resident dog is also a delight; so well behaved and welcoming to the guests. Nice restaurants, winery and brew pubs in town to walk too among the many shops to explore. You will receive top notch treatment at the Jefferson Inn. We can't wait to return again!

We spent only one night here but will surely come back. We have spent many nights at various B&B's all over the place, but the Jefferson Inn may very well be the best ever. What a wonderful experience!!! Room was absolutely spotless, clean, tidy, comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast and all the other things that came with the stay complimentarily were great... complimentary water, soda, candy kisses in bowls throughout the inn and homemade peanut butter and butterscotch cookies were to die for. The home is absolutely beautiful with many sitting areas, you can rock in a rocker on the front wrap around porch, sit inside in various sitting rooms or relax in the hot tub. Check in was very informative and comprehensive. The location is perfect, only about a minute or two walk to main street and many shops, restaurants bars nightlife etc. We will definitely stay again! Thanks so much! Tom and Betsy

If you are planning to stay overnight in Ellicottville, stay here!
The Jefferson Inn has a heart of its own, taking you back in time at a charming, beautifully furnished and meticulously kept turn of the century property with all of the modern conveniences that you need. Jean and her staff are so kind and make you feel at home with a fully stocked coffee/tea bar with homemade cookies daily, an unbelievable 3 course breakfast, a hot tub with towels and robes, and so much more. Gypsy the house dog is the icing on the cake. I stayed here with a group of friends and we all loved every minute of our stay! Don’t miss it!

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. Jean and Judy went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and familiar with everything the Inn had to offer. I was blown away how for the hot tub they had thought of everything; a mini fridge for drinks, plastic cups, extra towels. The perfect coffee bar was set up with cookies and water bottles and the wrap around porch would be perfect to enjoy on a warm day. I will be back! Thank you! 💜

My girlfriend and I were celebrating her Birthday in the village of Elicottville,N.Y. The owner of the Inn was amazing. She took the time to prepare some snacks, which she made after I told her of my food allergy to eggs. She also prepared breakfast egg free which was delicious. The Inn is centrally located to downtown shops and restaurants. The Inn is historically beautiful with a nice porch to sit and enjoy the area to be outside weather permitting.

While traveling home to Rochester, NY we decided to include a visit to Ellicottville. “The Jefferson Inn” was an unexpected pleasure as we had never stayed in a B&B. The home is lovely inside and out. We were looking forward to the wrap-around porch and enjoyed it at all times of the day. Breakfasts were 3-courses of homemade deliciousness, served at our pace but beginning with coffee an hour before.
Jean is a delightful, warm and generous host and Gypsy is a wonderful treat for those of us who no longer have dogs. Quiet, friendly and always willing to sit with you.
Our room (Nellie Fraser) was perfectly clean and sanitized. The bathroom was spotless. The beds were very comfortable. Due to nearby home construction Jean moved us to a room overlooking Jefferson Street. It was a beautiful view.
The house is a very short walk to Town attractions and wonderful restaurants. Shopkeepers and waitstaff were all willing to make recommendations for daily activities. Jean even mapped out her normal trip through nearby Amish country so we could visit some of their shops/stands.
All in all, we can’t wait to go back and started discussing dates on the trip hope.

We absolutely loved everything about the Jefferson Inn. Jean the owner is an exceptional host. She is a great conversationalist, cook and she ensures that her and the staff have covered every little detail that makes staying at the Inn so special. What a wonderful host. The dog Gypsy is also a welcoming host and is an added bonus to the charm of the Inn. The Inn itself is beautifully and comfortably decorated and the sitting room was a great place for a glass of wine or a beer after a great day on the slopes. The location is awesome! Just park the car and you can walk to everything. Breakfast cooked be Jean was delicious! All in all, you will love your stay and we can not wait to go back! Ken and Ann Rochester, NY

My husband and I loved our stay at the Jefferson Inn! The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel at home. Gypsy (the owner's dog) was also extremely friendly and lovable! Our breakfast was delicious and filling, the hot tub was relaxing, and all of the amenities we needed were right there. The owner gave us some great tips to plan our adventures at breakfast, and it was so nice to be able to easily walk to all of the restaurants and bars since the inn is right in town. My only tips are to bring your own conditioner because there only appeared to be shampoo, and the beds might be a little short if you are tall (I'm 5'2" and was fine, but my 5'10" husband said his feet were off of the edge. But honestly, it was a great stay and we hope to be back sometime in the future!

I had the occasion to stay here this summer, when my band, The Olmsted Dub System performed a show at the gazebo. The Jefferson Inn is an outstanding choice for accommodation in Ellicottville. It is centrally located, the furnishings are spot on, the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is great!
Our hostess Jean provided generous accommodations for my musical gear and was so helpful in getting us information about what restaurants were open (Covid rules) and was very forthcoming when asked about the history if the inn, etc.
We are frequent visitors to Ellicottville and will definitely book a stay here again! You should book your stay as well, you will not be disappointed!!
