Went there for a weekend getaway which turned out to be a wonderful weekend. Wilford and Veda were just so accommodating and friendly. Veda’s breakfast was delish every morning. Wilford was a just a great person to talk to very informative and just a delight to be around. Will be back one day again.
When my husband and I first arrived, we were greeted by both Veda and Wilfred. They were both warm and friendly. The house I found out was built in approximately 1790 and they manage to restore it to it's beautiful charm. Their beds were comfortable, the ambiance romantic and the breakfast was amazing. It was a blend of nouveau style with a Jamaican flare. A testimony to Veda's heritage. Wilfred is quite the entertainer while Veda is the quiet but gracious hostess. We will definitely be back. This is our new getaway location. A place of peace, tranquility and romance. Thanks Veda and Wilfred for a beautiful memory!
Me and my son had the best time here you would not believe! The owner is so very nice, he advised of places where we could go and things we could do! And the beds!!! I have back issues and it’s hard to sleep comfortably in a bed! I don’t know where they got them from but I woke up feeling amazing!! 🤩 I haven’t slept so well in so long aha I didn’t want to leave! I jokingly asked the owner if I could keep the bed aha he laughed! We really did feel so welcomed here, felt like we were family! I would recommend you stay here as you will feel so welcomed, have great sleep, your kids can explore and have fun, the food is great, the atmosphere feels is cozy, I just really have a hard time staying places especially with my son and I WILL be coming back here!
Coming here was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had while traveling. The listed amenities are not accurate whatsoever. There is no spa, massages, rooms are NOT comfortable or soundproof. The place is run down, beds are hard as rocks, and the hosts are so incredibly rude. Tried to stay here for a week and couldn’t even get through the first night. The host was screaming and cussing on the phone until 11pm (we suspect he was drunk), and the bed was so uncomfortable I only got 4 hours of sleep before I had to get out of the bed completely as my hips and back were radiating with pain. Room had broken switches for the fan, broken fireplace, bathtub is discolored and tiny, and the heavy traffic outside can be heard from the rooms so clearly that it sounds like you’re standing in the street. When we asked to cancel and for a refund as we were not going to pay close to 300$ per night for this horrible quality, we had to sit there and argue for an hour and a half with Wilfred. He accused us of lying about why we were uncomfortable, kept insisting that we had a personal issues with him, and created a very hostile environment all while I’m 7 months pregnant! I don’t think anyone in their right mind would be comfortable in these rooms. Very very unprofessional. His wife also began screaming at us at one point. Wilfred had to hold her back from becoming violent with us! I almost had to call the police during this whole experience. We ended up getting some of our money back but was scammed out of 500$ by this corrupt local business. Do not trust them!!…
This B+B is really special. My Wife, and I sre frequent travelers, but our first time at a bed and breakfast. We had a great time. Our hosts, Veda and Wilfred made us a feel like Family. They are the best ! Delicious breakfast every day . Quaint and very clean home. Super location .Just a memorable time for us. Thank You Veda and Wilfred for Your kindness , and taking terrific care of us. We are grateful , appreciative, and You really put a stamp on our hearts. Cindy and Gerry
When we entered Arbor View House, we right away felt a sense of calm and serenity that Wilfred and Veda have created in their lovely home. Their hospitality, generosity and kindness was wonderful and unexpected. We loved our morning breakfast conversations with Wilfred where we discussed everything under the horizon, which I still miss being back in New York.
Our hoped-for getaway for our 20th anniversary to the Caribbean turned into a 3-night stay on the North Fork thanks to Covid-19, and Wilfred and Veda made us forget that we hadn't even left Suffolk County, let alone New York or the US! We were transported! Sometimes we felt like we were on Nantucket, other times we felt like we were on a tropical island, and still other times, when we went to wineries, it felt like we were in the South of France or Tuscany. Delightful conversations over delicious homecooked breakfast and fresh-brewed coffee, tips on off-the-beaten-path restaurants and sights, and a warm and historic "Captain's" lodging made this too-short seaside vacation an unforgettable one. We loved getting to know Wilfred and Veda, and they made this experience feel extra-special. If you love bed and breakfasts, you will love your stay at Arbor View.…
Wilfred and Veda are the perfect hosts. They truly care about your comfort. You leave their home knowing you've made new friends. The Arbor View House is beautiful. My wife and I stayed here on our wedding night, and we're lucky enough to have just spent our 15th wedding anniversary here again. The stay here was just as wonderful as our first stay 15 years ago. If you're looking for a great breakfast, Veda is simply amazing. Yum! Thank you, Wilfred and Veda! Anyone thinking about trying a bed and breakfast, the Arbor View House should be your choice!!
ARBOR VIEW HOUSE We recently spent 4 days at the Arbor View House. Our stay could not have been more delightful. This was our first visit to North Fork and Long Island. The Innkeepers, Wilfred and Vida, could not have been more helpful. They are a wealth of knowledge of North Fork and South Fork. The Inn is exquisite, the guest rooms are lovely, and the parlor is very welcoming. They cater to all your needs. The breakfasts were gourmet style and worth the visit. Vida and Wilfred make sure dietary concerns are met. I rate the Inn 10 out of 10. We look forward to returning. Jerry & Ruth July 2021
My husband and I just returned from four amazing days and nights on the North Fork of Long Island. We stayed at the Arbor View Bed & Breakfast in East Marion and that made all the difference. The place is lovely, filled with antiques and comfortable furnishings so that we could spend an evening sitting companionably talking with the proprietors, Wilfred & Vida about any subject which came into our minds. The beds are beyond comfortable; Vida’s breakfast fare is delicious and so filling, we sometimes skipped lunch. The piece that makes Arbor View so special and the reason we’ll return is the warmth and love shared by Wilfred and Vida to every person who enters their home. We were blessed to spend time with them.
