This was our first visit to the Inn but we will definitely return. The innkeepers, Sean and Chloe and staff member, Melissa were all very kind, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting and very clean. Although our room was a bit small (we knew that it would be small because it was the only room available when we booked), the bed was very comfortable and the room had everything you would need. The other rooms seems to have plenty of space. The breakfast was ample and delicious. Our first morning we were served the best French toast I every ate. The location is peaceful and we went to several locations all with in about 30 minutes drive. Both evenings a fire pit was lit with logs on a large well manicured yard by a red barn and they even had complimentary s'more kits! Great weekend get-a-away.

We just spent four nights at Silver Maple Farm and it did not disappoint. We had the most charming, relaxing stay at the Inn (Pines Duplex Suite). Tara, the innkeeper was most helpful with restaurant recommendations - do not miss Mario's Italian Restaurant - one of the coziest meals we've had! Every morning we would enjoy breakfast in the great room with the fireplace in the background. The inn was decorated with holiday cheer which added a layer of coziness to our stay. Tara and team were so thoughtful with everything - down to the homemade treats offered every afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return visit.

This property is a charming farmhouse with a pretty country setting, great for a getaway from a busy city life. The owners are very nice, the common area had a great feel and breakfast was first class. My issue was that the owner referred to our 10x10 room as a “suite” and either I am a 5’4”, 130 lb giant or the word suite has a different meaning in this countryside. My husband and I had to do the “sidestep dance” when passing each other there was so little space available to navigate. One side of the bed was pushed against the wall in order to make space to navigate. This means that one of us had to crawl over the other if we needed to get out of the queen-size bed in the middle of the night. Now it’s not the first time we’ve come across a small room, however it is the first time we’ve had to pay over $350.00 for it and the first time we’ve ever heard such a small room referred to as a suite just because it had a 4x6 bathroom attached. The following day we traveled to another B&B in the countryside that had a stunning landscape, flowers abounding, a pool and deer frolicking nearby…and a beautiful, not to mention, what I would call a “suite”. This suite had a large bedroom, king size bed, a small private entry, a private sitting room with a fireplace, and a large bathroom with a giant jacuzzi! And it cost us less than $350.00!! So be aware of what you are getting. It is the only nice accommodation in Chatham area, so it does corner the market there if you really need to stay in that area as we did, we had no other choice.
BTW the picture shown, looks nothing like the room we were given and reviewed. That room would definately be worth $350 sinceB everything else was so positive. We would have loved it.

Tired from traveling July 4th week,we were looking for a quiet retreat to get a good nights sleep to 'recharge our batteries' after spending a great time with family. Tara, the manager, could not have been more accommodating. We got the last room available there, last minute. It was 'cozy' as she said, but perfect for one night.

We sat in the common area and enjoyed our own happy hour. With local cheese and crackers, and a good bottle of wine, we relaxed and enjoyed the view. A common fridge, glasses, plates, and silverware, we were all set. Good restaurants nearby.

The bed was soooo comfortable! The room was immaculate despite being small.

We would recommend this inn for a few nights of just chilling and regrouping, whether a couple or single or folks without the need to keep young kids busy.

This Inn was so lovely! The owners are very friendly and helpful, homemade breakfast spread every morning, peaceful quiet and clean. There's a beautiful fire pit outside to sit under the stars. It feels like country living! We enjoyed the surrounding area for hikes, waterfalls, horseback riding & botanical gardens. Overall a wonderful experience!

Chloe and Sean are wonderful hosts of the Inn. The breakfast is plentiful and the hot option both mornings was yummy (Omelette and second morning almond flour pancakes and Chicken Sausage.) The lounge is a gorgeous space to relax and often we found folks to chat with at the firepit. We were glad to find a spot we could bring our well behaved dog to. Our room (#9) was clean with a comfy bed and had everything we needed. There are 2 rooms that are pet friendly - I believe our room was the smaller of the 2. The short hike around the property is nice to stretch the legs and the general location of the Inn offers convenience to local spots inc Chatham only 10 mins away.

Everything was on point with our stay at the Silver Maple. This farmhouse/inn was recently renovated and was done so incredibly tastefully and there’s a wonderful large room that is cozy at night with fireplace burning and it’s the same space where breakfast is served. Breakfast offered lots of selections as well as hot and freshly prepared French toast one morning snd eggs the other. Food was great! Rooms were very nice, with comfy beds abd super quiet which is aces in my book. We came up to visit Olana and Art Omi and this inn is in a great location to visit in not only the Hudson/Chatham NY area but also very close to western MA (Lenox, Williamstown, skiing, Mass MOCA. We also enjoyed the fire pit one night abd the proprietors were super welcoming and helpful. It’s a beautiful spot inside and out and hope to be back next year!

Lovely ! We will stay again next time we are traveling up north to Vermont or New Hampshire! The management team was available to answer questions, friendly and very accommodating. They talked with us for a while regarding history and being in this East Chatham area! Personal touches were everywhere and very much appreciated!! Home made sugar cookies and home
made caramels welcomed us when we got there, what a delight and they were delicious!! The rooms were amazing ! There were air purifiers in the rooms which I absolutely LOVED… for so many reasons! The floors were heated… which I again, absolutely LOVED!!
Coffee was great in the morning ! Morning breakfast could be ordered and cook while sipping coffee! Amazing experience!

This was a wonderful find and my husband and I loved staying here! The Inn is beautiful, and the hosts, Tara and Adam, are spectacular! We felt well cared for and the breakfast Adam made was delicious and one of the most amazing breakfasts we have ever tasted! We also loved sitting by the fire at night, having tea and munching on Tara's excellent cookies, and dancing to music we chose from Alexa/Amazon! We hope to come back again soon!

I just returned home from a four night stay with Chloe and Sean at Silver Maple Farm. I was sad to leave and would happily return. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Breakfasts by Chloe are generous and delicious. I stayed in two rooms while I was there which were both comfortable but the Loft Suite is an experience I will not soon forget. Spacious, with views over the property, comfortable in every way. The location is a nice base for exploring various nearby charming towns but the Inn itself is so welcoming that you may decide to stay put more than you had planned. I've stayed in other very nice Inns in nearby towns like Hudson that were literally twice the cost. I will not make that mistake again. Opt for the peace and tranquility of Silver Maple Farm.

The Inn is lovely (you can read my earlier review from last year) however the understanding of the Innkeeper is another thing. I had made a reservation (as I have done at least 3 or 4 times in the past w/o any cancellations or changes) one week before the 4th of July, several rooms were showing as available. I paid for the first of a 2 night stay. A day or two before our scheduled stay, my husband became very ill (he has suffered with cancer and radiation treatments for the past year) I called Jodie to personally ask for a refund,,,even 50 percent. I had checked and the rooms were all still available, as had been the case 6 days earlier. even though she knows me personally, even though she knew the personal health issues, even though I proffered a Dr note, she refused to give me a refund, saying that this booking was her bread and butter esp during the summer months. I understand because I too rent a property nearby....however I would NEVER have kept her money knowing her husband was going through a very serious bout of cancer! I felt she was mean spirited and greedy, as did every member of my family and all my friends with whom I shared the situation. They could not believe that she would not refund the crummy $200 plus...I did not become a pauper due to this but it certainly left a very bad taste in my mouth that I will not soon forget. And a very poor business decision for her, in the end as I will never again book with such a heartless person...and don't bother answering this posting Jodie with your memorized rhetorical gobbledygook, as it is meaningless to me and I hope to all reading this.

Whoa. A review of our records tell a very different story. This reservation was for one of only two remaining rooms for Labor Day weekend. It was made on Tuesday, and then canceled Friday evening of the holiday weekend. Our reservation and cancellation policies are clearly stated on our website, and emailed to each guest with their confirmation. This guest has stayed with us twice before (not “at least 3 or 4 times”), and is aware of our policies, which are very standard in lodging. Unfortunately, if someone cancels a reservation at the very last minute (as was the case here), and we are unable to re-book the room on such short notice, the guest is usually required to honor their commitment. In this case, we actually released the guest of their obligations for the second night (giving the 50% refund that was denied above), even though we were unable to re-book the room on such very short notice, as by Friday night people had already made arrangements for Labor Day weekend. We took a loss on this. Hardly sounds like the actions of a “mean spirited”, “greedy”, or “heartless person.” We run a clean, honest, and transparent business and enjoy an excellent reputation; we will let our numerous positive reviews speak to the level of customer service and the quality of accommodations we provide to our guests on a daily basis.  Despite these ad hominem attacks on our person and character, we stand by our policies as well as the magnanimous way we handled this situation. We will not be blackmailed or bullied by reviews such as this.
