This was our 12th straight year going to Covewood Lodge with our extended family. This is a great resort for a rustic retreat in the Adirondacks, perfect for families with kids. First of all, this place is filled with history and charm. A family owned resort, it is located about 10 minutes from Eagle Bay, NY. The resort is right... More

My husband surprised me for my birthday and took me to Covewood Lodge for 2 nights. He was tickled pink about being able to get the Boathouse for the weekend. I wanted to be surprised so I wanted no details. Can I tell you.. if you go here.. get the boathouse if available! The view was just breathtaking. This was... More

If you are looking for a vacation reminiscent of another era, Covewood is the place for you. We have been going there for 45+ years. For those of us who know and love it, it has changed very little. That is the beauty of this place. The lake and surrounding mountains are breathtakingly gorgeous. Nature is abundant and calms the... More

We loved it. It is an awesome place to get away from it all and spend quality time with family. The kids had a great time. There are lots of things to do, but doing nothing at all is enjoyable there as well.

We have been going to Covewood Lodge for several years now and absolutely love it there. We usually go in the fall. The cabins and main lodge are pure Adrirondacks and love the peacefulness of it there. We love the wildlife that is present as well as the location. Close to town , hiking trails and most anything you want... More

My family and I have been vacationing at Covewood every summer for close to 30 years. We love the beauty of the mountains, the peaceful lake and the wonderful friends that we have made over the years. We wouldn't think of going anywhere else and we look forward to our week all year long. Just the perfect relaxing vacation. Our... More

For 32 years, our family has enjoyed the warm, hospitality of Covewood Lodge and cottages, and the natural beauty of Big Moose Lake - we've vacationed in both the summer and October months. Covewood's owners, the Bowes family and their delightful staff, have made our vacations delightful, always accommodating our needs, providing high chairs when our kids were tiny, counselor... More

Our family will be returning to Covewood for the fourth time this summer. We are a well- traveled bunch and Big Moose Lake is by far our favorite spot. The scenery is spectacular and there's no shortage of activities: canoeing, kayaking, water-skiing, hiking or reading on the lodge porch. The staff is warm and friendly and we feel that we've... Spring Break puts me in the mind of Summer Vacation and I'm already counting the seconds to our 22nd summer at Covewood on beautiful Big Moose Lake. The scenery and the rustically enchanting "ambiance" make it worth the return every year (even for my spouse, who's idea of a vacation is pretty much limited to hot Caribbean sun, sand, and... More
