We share our family farm vacations and all-natural meats and produce with people from around the world who want to understand and experience a part of their history. By helping with farming tasks, you can watch your children or grandchildren milk a cow, feed pigs, or collect eggs for the first time. Learning about farm life in rural upstate New York, from a real farmer, is a unique educational experience that many claim to be "€œpriceless!"

Holidays are over. We have a great recommendation for a safe vacation, especially for city folks with children. Plan a visit to Hull-O, a working farm. Upon arriving at your private rented house, you will be greeted with an overflowing welcome basket. Each item was received with glee from the younger members of the group. The older ones anticipated the farm fresh eggs, sausage and blended pancake mix and maple syrup for breakfast the 2 mornings of our stay. There was a schedule of events which included feeding the pigs, cow, deer; gathering the eggs from the hen house; milking the cows, and time for cuddling and observing the adorable cats. The lovely town of Windham is a beautiful, short ride away. Good restaurants and some fun shops to visit especially Carole’s Gift Emporium and European Crafts await you. We recommend you stay in the immaculate yellow farmhouse across from the main house. Grab a book and sit in the glass enclosed porch, near the fire pit, or on the side patio to read and watch the cows across the street. We witnessed the tough life of running a family farm 24/7/365. It rained the day after we left and we all thought about Jared out in the rain feeding the animals as we had done with him the previous 2days. It made us stop and appreciate what farmers really do for us. They are land rich, but financially stressed. Onerous state and federal regulations are no help to farmers or consumers. A conversation with Farmer Frank was very enlightening and enjoyable.

We had such a great time at the farm. The 4 bedroom farm house was comfortable for us with 5 kids and had everything we needed. Shelly, farmer Frank and Jared were friendly, welcoming and took time to explain things about the farm and animals. There was a large variety of animals for everybody to play with, and the 'chores' were so much fun. Shelly is a wonderful host with a great attitude and thinks about the little details that makes one feel at home. Thank you!

My family and I have been through a lot this year as have so many people throughout this country and the world for that matter. This place brought our kiddo to life. She was free to play and run, pet the animals, feed them, and sit with them for as long as she wanted. During a time when all she hears is "Don't", she finally heard, "Go ahead have at it". Sherry is kind and willing to answer any and all questions. Frank knows everything there is about farming and if you are smart you'll listen. Their son Jared is funny, great with the kids, and one hard working guy. George the farm hand talked to us for ages about the history of the farm and why the animals do what they do. This is a genuine farm experience. You can work as hard or as little as you want, but if you commit to all the chores presented to you, you will get an idea of how challenging and awesome the responsibilities of a farmer are. We are eternally grateful for the experience and what it meant to our daughter.

Our family had our first Farm Vacation experience at Hull O Farm and we loved it! We spent our night in one of their guest houses called The Austin. The house was lovely and had great views of the Catskill Mountains. We ate eggs from their farm for breakfast and did chores on the farm. Our children loved to see the kittens, ducks, pigs, cows and more! They let us do chores on the farm including feeding the deer, milking the cows and collecting eggs. We also had a great hay ride that took us all over the farm. Frank gave us a history of the farm that dates back to 1779! We will be back in the winter and plan to come back every year!! Thank you Sherry, Frank, and Jared!! Your farm was one of our favorite family memories!!!

My friends and I were looking for a quick getaway that did not require too much planning. Hull-O-Farms was all that and more. This magnificent working farm is a great escape from everyday stress. The accommodations were sparkling clean. The owners Sherry and Farmer Frank were sweet, helpful, and friendly from start to finish. Their son Jared gave us a unique and enjoyable time while we helped him with farm chores. I highly recommend this farm stay.
