Detailed Reviews

The location of this hotel is what really earns it and excellent review. Every room has a view facing Seneca Lake which is simply beautiful no matter what time of year you go. They have their own winery on site as well and a lovely restaurant. A small continental breakfast is supplied with access to a microwave. The room has a refrigerator and coffee bar so we often bring our own foods. We have probably stayed here 20 times over the years. I recommend traveling here in the office season as the rates are far less and the terrific surrounding wineries are much less crowded.

It was our first time to stay at Glenora Inn, but we were disappointed. The view from all rooms is fantastic. That was good. The rooms were spacious. That was good. The bathrooms were huge. That wasn't really necessary, but was nice. But for the cost of the stay, the "free" breakfast was not satisfactory. I have stayed in "cheap" hotels and had much, much better breakfasts. Glenora could at least have something hot, other than instant oatmeal. Packaged sweet breads or cakes, yogurt, fruit that didn't look that nice, bottled juice (2 kinds), all were disappointing and less than ordinary. We really wanted to go get breakfast somewhere, but when you're paying what we paid for 3 nights, we felt we couldn't warrant spending more away from the inn. The nice things about the stay was the free glass of bubbly, the free bottle of wine for the room (we upgraded for a small fee so that we could have dry wine) and the view.

This was a lovely place to stay for our anniversary celebration. The rates are quite reasonable and include a free bottle of wine with real wine glasses. We were on the second floor, which is actually at the level of the parking lot, so there are no stairs to navigate. The bottom floor has patios, but we preferred the privacy of the upper floor with a balcony. The room was nicely decorated and clean. It was very nice to sit on the balcony and sip our wine before going to dinner at the Veraisons Restaurant, which is also lovely. We are considering making this our regular place for special celebrations.

This was our first pandemic getaway. We spent 1 night here and were more than pleasantly surprised. ROom was a good size and clean, bathroom large, and deck with Adirondack chairs was a nice perk. Room included a bottle if wine (which can be traded in with a minimal upgrade charge), 2 tastings one at winery on premises and the other on the opposite side of the lake, and a simple breakfast, where you picked up a bag to go from the front desk and they poured you a cup of coffee (I'm guessing tea also available). Bag included a muffin (not pre-packaged, may have been homemade), an apple, and OJ.
Also the building had several entrances, so easy to avoid crossing paths with other guests and not far to carry luggage.
We made a reservation in advance for the restaurants (although it was midweek and there was plenty of room),. we requested outdoor patio seat, overlooking vineyards. The food was good, although menu a bit limited.
The tasting at their winery was indoors, but very spread out, so well distanced from other groups. There were 5 pours (you pick grouping from menu), and they gave us 2 extra, The pours we had were about half a glass each so a great deal, and no wine necessary with dinner after that! They also provided a little cheese to go with it.
Overall nice place to stay, and having restaurant and winery on the premises was a good perk.

We stayed here for five nights and had no issues at all. The room was very clean but a little dated. A new mattress would go a long way. Due to covid, they don't clean your room and you fill out a paper every morning about what you need. You leave trash and towels outside of your door. I think that is a great idea during covid. The view from the balcony was great and there are two chairs and a table. The girls at the front desk were always very nice no matter what time we stopped by. They also give you a bagged breakfast with a homemade muffin, apple, and OJ along with coffee if you'd like. Very thoughtful especially when we would wake up and go exploring. They also give a slip with free tastings at Glenora and Knapp winery. We took advantage of both. Both were very good. Knapp was on Cayuga Lake. We would stay again when back in the area.

While the location is very good, and the people friendly the Inn is tired and in need of renovation. The room is well furnished with a nice patio and chairs overlooking the vineyard. The bathroom is unusually large, which was a big plus.
The Continental Breakfast was a major disappointment, especially since they have a fine restaurant (which was closed when we were there) and big catering business.
Wrapped commercial pastries, no breads, no cereal ( other than awful packaged oatmeal) and weak coffee . Hardly what one would expect at their pricing.

This was our first return to Glenora in four years and our fourth visit with another couple. We arrived early and our room wasn’t ready so we walked up the hill to the winery and enjoyed a glass of wine on the new deck. Views are great. Soon received the call that our rooms were ready and we checked in. The room was the same as four years ago. Very spacious bedroom and bath, very neat and clean. Bottle of seyval Blanc and 2 bottles of water in the fridge. Sliding glass door out to the deck with 2 Adirondack chairs and the fabulous views of the vineyard and Seneca. As the restaurant is not serving breakfast due to staffing issues, there is a continental breakfast of instant oatmeal, danishes, yogurt, fruit, juice and there fabulous coffee. We chose to eat on the covered balcony. Our first morning we noticed the shower drain was very slow. I left a note for housekeeping. On our return there was an entry by housekeeping saying, yes, it is slow and would be reports to maintenance. Just below that was a note from “Dan”, “done.” And it was. As in the past we enjoyed our stay and hope to return again next year.

I'm definitely between 3 and 4 stars but gave it 4 because the views of the lake are priceless. The rooms have views of the lake and have a little deck so you can sit outside. The staff was incredibly sweet and there was a relaxed vibe at this inn that I loved. You get a wine tasting and bottle of wine with your stay. The room was very clean. The reason I would give 3 stars is that the inn desperately needs updating the comforters alone would spruce things up. Carpets and wallpaper really need replacement. However if you want a clean room with a beautiful view and friendly staff you Will be pleased.

We had a well appointed room with a bathroom jacuzzi and king size bed. The hotel layout allowed for a quiet rest at night. Wine tasting was a quick walk up the hill with the complimentary tickets provided. For the room price, I feel the continental breakfast supplies need improvement. There was little supply and choice.

We stayed here two nights and wish we had booked here for more. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The best part is the private balcony fitted with Adirondack chairs and a small table, with a beautiful view to the vineyards and lake. They are managing COVID well here, the staff does not access your room but getting what you need is super-simple.

There is a vineyard between the lodge and the lake. I would think that they would discourage swimming in the lake. I am sorry not aware of the equipment in the fitness area. I apologize for not being much help.
Yes there were shampoos and such and there was a very nice fridge-rooms are spacious! Lovely large bathrooms as well.
I believe it was 3 pm
