This is a nice Finger Lakes experience, but it could be so much better. It's May, so early season operations, but the Inn is very average. The check-in was ok but less than hospitable. The rooms are nice with a decent balcony, but the construction of the place reeks of average quality. Our room was clean, but the rug was stained. A great view of the lake is the best part of this hotel. If your sights aren't too high, this place/experience is OK.

It pains me to write this mediocre review, as I can tell the management and staff have been working so diligently to try to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction at this property despite pandemic-induced staffing challenges, but here I am lying wide awake again in bed after 11:30 PM because of non-existent soundproofing of the door that connects our room (224) to the adjacent room (225). Last night we heard every noise (every noise) until 2:30 AM, and I slept horribly as a result. I am hoping these neighboring guests will not be as loud as late this evening, too. I am not sure if these adjoining room doors are required by NY state fire code or what, but when you can hear every word of every conversation through these doors it can certainly make it difficult to sleep without earplugs. Meanwhile we haven't heard a peep out of the guests in the other adjacent room (223) with no adjoining/shared door since we checked in a few days ago. Through social media research it sounds like this adjoining door is not insulated properly, which is wholly unacceptable for a place that markets itself as a luxury inn. Some observations: GROUNDS: Impeccably-maintained. Yesterday we even saw a man spraying herbicides on clover that was emerging around the exterior doorways to the lodge adjacent to the primary landscaping. This shows incredible attention to detail. The parking areas and driveways look to be relatively recently repaved and are very smooth. VIEW: Breathtaking. When we first checked in I immediately put down my luggage and ran out to our balcony. The lake view is quite simply awe-inspiring. I love sunrises, and the sunrise views here have to be amongst the best in the region. STAFF: Generally corteous and professional. The female that checked us in was incredibly friendly and informative; she seemed to genuinely enjoy her job. It seemed like it was the first day on the job for the girl who did our complimentary tastings, but she did fine. We bought six bottles. CLEANLINESS: I can't praise the cleaning staff enough. When we arrived the room was impeccably clean. Our room was cleaned daily while we were exploring. Our bed was made, our garbages were emptied, our toilet was cleaned, our towels were refreshed, and our coffees and bottled waters were also refreshed. I was impressed! There is either some black mold or heavy mildew forming on the top of the exterior of our shower stall above the shower curtain, but it is not a large mass of it (yet). LOCATION: Glenora is located a tad further away from any cute walkable town center (Watkins Glen, Penn Yan, Dundee, Geneva, etc.) than I would like, but you can still get to most local communities within a 15-20-minute drive. We explored all of these aforementioned communities and enjoyed them immensely. NY is such a beautiful state. ROOM: Smallish TV (not a "smart TV", so you won't be able to access your streaming services). No microwave. Good mini-fridge. Complimentary bottle of wine. Mr. Coffee coffeemaker with great locally-sourced Seneca Sunrise Coffee (kind people at that place---check them out!). Surprisingly uncomfortable beds and pillows (too firm and flat, respectively, for me personally). Again, not sure if ALL rooms have that adjoining door or not, but if they do your ability to sleep will be at the mercy of whomever they give the adjacent room to and if they blast their TV, laugh, and make loud "o" noises late into the night or not. I expected much better door soundproofing for the price we paid per night for this room. Jacuzzi was nice but took 20 minutes to drain, which made us think we broke it at first. Shower was tiny but VERY nice (LOVE the water pressure!)

We've been going to The Inn at Glenora Wine Cellars for over 20 years. So many different feelings when we drive into the parking lot. Sometimes it's a race to the wineries before they close or to make our dinner reservation at Veraisons located at the Inn. Most of the time, it's for a peaceful stay to get away and enjoy the next day of winery hopping. Every time we've been greeted by friendly staff and enjoyed our room. A bottle of wine awaited our visit, just like many times before. By morning, we are out on the patio either enjoying the scenic view or taking pics of our new memories. This visit was gorgeous. The sun was out, and we had warmer fall weather. It was a perfect visit to the Finger Lakes. Our rooms have always been clean, and we've had no issues with any type of maintenance. The Continental breakfast could be better. The Inn at Glenora Wine Cellars is a trusted, safe, and a welcoming visit every time.

While the location is very good, and the people friendly the Inn is tired and in need of renovation. The room is well furnished with a nice patio and chairs overlooking the vineyard. The bathroom is unusually large, which was a big plus. The Continental Breakfast was a major disappointment, especially since they have a fine restaurant (which was closed when we were there) and big catering business. Wrapped commercial pastries, no breads, no cereal ( other than awful packaged oatmeal) and weak coffee . Hardly what one would expect at their pricing.

We've stayed at Glenora many times over the past decade and it was always a treat, but it looks like Covid took its toll. The property is run down and, despite the beautiful views, disappointing. Gone is the welcoming glass of sparkling wine. In its place, plexiglass barriers and impersonal check in (although the staff was very nice). The front entrance doors are peeling and ugly, and the other access doors don't even close all the way (no security). Our room was clean, but badly worn. And if you stay in a first-floor room, just pray the folks above don't want to fill their hot tub. It's a long, loud process. Finally, the "continental breakfast" must be from a third-world continent. It's sparse and not in the least appetizing with nothing but very basic yogurt, fruit and cellophane-wrapped danish. We had to leave the property and find a proper breakfast. For $189/night (plus tax), one would expect something better. It's so sad to see what the lockdowns have done to the hospitality industry. I hope Glenora recovers, makes a bundle of money and refreshes the property. In the meantime, we need to find alternative accommodations for our next wine country jaunt.

This was our first return to Glenora in four years and our fourth visit with another couple. We arrived early and our room wasn’t ready so we walked up the hill to the winery and enjoyed a glass of wine on the new deck. Views are great. Soon received the call that our rooms were ready and we checked in. The room was the same as four years ago. Very spacious bedroom and bath, very neat and clean. Bottle of seyval Blanc and 2 bottles of water in the fridge. Sliding glass door out to the deck with 2 Adirondack chairs and the fabulous views of the vineyard and Seneca. As the restaurant is not serving breakfast due to staffing issues, there is a continental breakfast of instant oatmeal, danishes, yogurt, fruit, juice and there fabulous coffee. We chose to eat on the covered balcony. Our first morning we noticed the shower drain was very slow. I left a note for housekeeping. On our return there was an entry by housekeeping saying, yes, it is slow and would be reports to maintenance. Just below that was a note from “Dan”, “done.” And it was. As in the past we enjoyed our stay and hope to return again next year.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn to celebrate our 15th anniversary. The rooms were very outdated and not especially clean. The patio was beautiful with very comfortable chairs and an amazing view but getting out on the patio was a job. The door was so hard to open it took two hands and a good body slam to get it open. We didn't dare use the screen because we were afraid it would fall off. I would compare this stay , outside of the patio & view, nothing more than the average motel. Very overpriced. The photos on the internet lie!!!

I'm definitely between 3 and 4 stars but gave it 4 because the views of the lake are priceless. The rooms have views of the lake and have a little deck so you can sit outside. The staff was incredibly sweet and there was a relaxed vibe at this inn that I loved. You get a wine tasting and bottle of wine with your stay. The room was very clean. The reason I would give 3 stars is that the inn desperately needs updating the comforters alone would spruce things up. Carpets and wallpaper really need replacement. However if you want a clean room with a beautiful view and friendly staff you Will be pleased.
