Excellent vacation-get away spot great location both on the lake and in the Seneca lake area. Would highly recommend. Owners are friendly and very hospitable. Accommodation was clean and just the right size.
Beautiful location and accommodations. Hosts were wonderful. Will definitely return and recommend to others. We stayed in the Iris Apt. Enjoyed hiking Robert Treman State Park and Watkins Glen State Park. Great wine tastings and breweries around the area. Spalta was a great restaurant for a nicer dinner with beautiful views
This place is such a paradise on the water! Beautiful! The hosts Barb and Bob are top notch. So gracious and caring. Their breakfasts are amazing. Everything is just to perfection. So clean and accommodating in every way. The rooms are wonderful to stay in. There were 6 of us women and had all the bedrooms. I can't say enough about this wonderful B&B. Close to wineries and restaurants in the area. I will definitely go back again to enjoy this paradise on Seneca Lake. Love this place!!!!!!!
First time in the Finger Lakes region and we will be back to stay at Sunrise Landing. The Sunflower Suite was our home away from away. So relaxing, we enjoyed every minute of our view of Seneca Lake, both from inside and outside on our private deck. We climbed down to the lake twice to watch the sunrise and enjoyed the stars one night with a lakeside fire in the fire pit. Barbara and Bob were incredibly warm and welcoming. Barbara helped point us to several wineries we enjoyed. “Home base” was close to Watkins Glen as well as a reasonable drive to both Keuka and Cayuga Lakes so we got to appreciate the beauty of several Finger Lakes and parks.
A modern well appointed room, a welcoming host and hostess, home made chocolate cookies and an amazing location, with a great lake view. Everything you need to relax. If you're looking for peace and quiet...this is it!
We went with two other couples who have been here numerous times and they couldn’t stop telling me about it, after staying there I fully understand why! Barb and Bob are so warm and welcoming and make you feel at home. We drove into several towns and wineries and when we returned Barb brought down a cheese tray in case we were hungry, and to make sure we didn’t need anything else. The views are spectacular and there are no words to describe the breakfast Barb and Bob provided. When we woke up we took our coffee down to the dock and just took in the spectacular view of the lake and all the surrounding area. This may have been my first visit but it will not be my last
Having never stayed at a B&B before, my wife and i were a little hesitant, not knowing what to expect. All we knew of B&Bs was what we saw in movies. And that usually meant a shared bathroom down the hall. I called before booking and Bob assured me that we'd have our own private bathroom in our room. That being said we booked the Morning Glory Suite. I am so glad we did. Prior to arrival we got a call from Barbara inquiring what time we'd be arriving so they would be sure to be ready for us. They went out of their way to accommodate our earlier than planned arrival. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Barbara and Bob with coffee and fresh baked cookies. When i mentioned to Barbra that we were new to the B&B experience, she said they were gonna do their best to convert us. First I'll talk about the house. The house is beautiful and right on Lake Seneca. There's a very nice cozy common living room that looks out onto the lake. There are a couple of tables with umbrellas on a deck off the dining room that are perfect for an outdoor breakfast if weather permits. If the weather is a little funky, the dining room is a very comfortable 2nd choice. We stayed in the Morning Glory Suite which is the upstairs of the house. It has a bedroom and a sitting room to watch TV. It also has a private balcony that looks out at the lake. Oh and yes it has it's own private bathroom. The room is very nicely appointed, has a small fridge for drinks, and the bed is very comfortable. The house has a pier with Adirondack chairs for a nice afternoon of sipping wine and looking out at the lake. There's a rowboat and a couple of kayaks for the more adventurous type. Life vests, towels, and water shoes are all provided. There's a nice fire pit for a cozy fire in the evening on the shore of the lake. There are plenty of wineries to visit in the area, as is the Watkins Glen State Park which i highly recommend to visit. Breathtaking trails in the park. You won't be disappointed. We also visited the Corning Museum Of Glass which was not on my list of top 10 million things to do in my life but i am soooo glad my wife dragged me. The pieces are amazing and it was definitely worth the trip. Now let's talk about Barbara and Bob, the owners and your hosts at Sunrise Landing B&B. Barb and Bob have to be two of the nicest people i have ever met in my life. They are warm and friendly, genuine people. They have a fantastic knowledge of the area and different things to see. They are eager to please, yet not invasive. The breakfasts that they prepare and serve are delicious and amazing and they are served with such attention to detail and were just delicious. They said no one ever left the breakfast table hungry and they weren't kidding. And i can eat! We were in the house while two other couples were staying there, yet we felt we had the house to ourselves. I can't say enough how accommodating and awesome Barb and Bob were. They said they were gonna convert us to B&Bers and i guess you could say we're converted. The only problem is i think we were spoiled with this place as a first time experience. I will always compare any other place we stay with this one and we are definitely looking forward to our next stay at Sunrise Landing. Barb and Bob, if you're listening, thank you so much for a lovely stay in your home.…
We stayed with Barbara and Bob for three nights this past week. We stayed in the Sunflower Apartment suite which has an amazing view of the lake. The suite had everything we needed, the location was fantastic for visiting wineries, and the tips Barbara gave us for restaurants and wineries were all great. We ran into a car issue (flat tire) and needed to leave our car in nearby Watkins Glen. Bob took time out of his morning to drive us there vs having us figure out alternate transportation. Sunrise Landing has been one of our favorite B&B experiences to date. My only regret is that I ran out of time and didn’t put their great location on the lake to full use. I’ll need to save that for our next visit. Thanks again for hosting us Barbara and Bob!!!
I can't imagine other bed and breakfast facilities will compare to our stay. My wife and I happened to be the only guests on Thursday night, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves (including the massive living room, wrap-around porch, lake dock, private beach, firepit, kayaks, paddleboat, and rowboat. Barb and Bob put out fresh-baked cookies and snacks for us and in the morning, they served us the best breakfast we had on our entire trip (and they served us on the back deck overlooking the lake in perfect 78 degree weather). I can't say enough good things about this place!
Our June 2019 stay at Sunrise Landing was wonderful. We were greeted each morning by Bob and Barbara who prepared delectable breakfasts. They both worked so hard to make our stay enjoyable. They offered daily conversation and great tips regarding the Finger Lake area. The view of Seneca Lake is spectacular from the private dock, balconies, and living areas. We could hear the soft sound of the water from the lake from our living room balcony and bedroom. The grounds surrounding the bed and breakfast are beautifully kept making a perfect view from every angle. Everything inside is immaculate. Overall, our stay at Sunrise Landing was a splendid experience!
