This pub was a great find for lunch. We visited here whilst driving around the Moors, and had an amazing lunch. The food is incredible and the atmosphere was great, such a welcoming place. We would happily eat here again!

A great pub which has accommodation, is a restaurant and serves excellent food in the bar where dogs are welcome. Mark the owner/chef is a lovely character and makes really delicious food. The menu is extensive offering a balanced selection of freshly cooked food. Would heartily recommend you pop in and give it a try.

We stopped here for sunday lunch in the middle of our 5 mile walk. Me, my husband, 7 month old baby and our black lab were all made to feel very welcome. Beef dinner was delicious with beautiful veg!! Good beer and friendly service.

We stopped here for Sunday lunch about halfway through a 5-mile walk starting in Glaisdale. They had only just started lunch service. There were a lot of interesting sounding specials on the board but we just ordered from the bar menu. Sadly, they didn't have any frying fish available so we settled for scampi and chips. My sons had bangers...

This was return visit for lunch after discovering the inn during a visit to the area last year. A little disappointed to find that the Timothy Tailor beer we enjoyed last year was no longer on offer but the food was excellent and the staff just as welcoming. The only criticism is the state of the ladies room which needed...

Stayed here a few nights for walking break, rooms quite dirty and tired with stuff in drawers. Nice bar setting but very poor selection of beers. Breakfast was good, just very salty bacon to fault. £20 a night too expensive at £90 a night.

We booked here to celebrate a birthday with good food and drink and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a good choice of food and drink. We Didn't think it was overly expensive. People with dogs ate in the bar area and we ate in the restaurant. It had a good ambience. We enjoyed...

Went here today for sunday lunch and it was truly excellent. Baby-friendly, dog-friendly and a great atmosphere. The roast beef was excellent - generous portions, top quality beef, and it arrived quickly and was top value considering it wasn't expensive. But what makes this place so good is the friendly staff. We were made to feel very welcome and were...

Good choice of food on the menu however a little pricey and only had two bottles of red wine available, one at £29.95 and another at £24, however there was a house red for £18.95 which we settled for. Also only one bitter available. The food we enjoyed, so we would revisit when in the area.

Sorry for delay in the review but needs must. Nice charming old country pub with a nice cosy feel inside. Only a couple of people dining in the bar area as the restaurant side was being used by a shooting party. The food menu is on a large blackboard and we chose our starters and main courses when the bar...
