A castle transformed into a heaven on Earth!
It has been our second time at Chateau Heralec: I have found it in a ranking of the top 10 castle hotels in the world – it is totally deserved and here is why:
Everything was as if it was renovated just before our visit and all areas incl. the rooms were exceptionally clean.
All members of the castle staff are very friendly and helpful – they do everything to make your stay unforgettable.
The spa area offers everything you need for a complete relax experience, incl. a large pool and saunas. The location of the castle is in a quite area, you can enjoy the silence for example in the Silencarium right by the castle garden. We have also visited the hot tub in the castle tower – an enchanting experience.
The castle restaurant is also fantastic: menu with variety, yet not too long to ensure absolute freshness. Ingredients come from local sources, some of them even from the castle garden.

In a nutshell: Chateua Heralec is a splendid paradise.
We will definitely visit this stunning place again!

Relaxation with style
Our anniversary trip to was perfect. From the sumptuous rooms to the warm personal greeting and subsequent interactions nothing could be faulted. We had an incredible massage and we used the swimming pool and health suites all of which was the perfect balance between luxury and relaxation. The food in the restaurant was in the modern Czech style and delicious. The waiting staff were attentive and friendly.
We finished our stay with a trip out in their Mercedes convertible where we whizzed around the stunning countryside.
It is such a special place.

I and my friend absolutely enjoyed our 2-nights stay. The place is absolutely stunning and nearly in the middle of nowhere. A receptionist came up to our room and showed us all around. It was very unusual for us.
We dined in at dinner time. I had absolutely delicious Czech creamy dill soup with mushrooms. My friend had a veal steak with roasted cabbage and thick american chips.

As I am a brunch fan, I had big breakfasts. It was also gastronomic experience.I would only say confidently that I had eaten a way better scrambled eggs elsewhere. Otherwise, I can recommend a muschroom omelete, baked musli with plain yoghurt, chateau little sausages and crepes.
We enjoyed sauna, whirpool, swimming pool...There are two fitness rooms very very very well equipped :) Amazing!

We were blessed to have the whole chateau for ourselves for one day. It was one of the top experience I have ever had...it makes such a great difference when you get the privilliege to be away in silence and peace.

I loved and enjoyed the stay in maximum. I don't think I will come back because I'd rather experience something else rather than the same I had already experienced. Yet, I highly recommend it to those who want to enjoy luxurious and original type of stay.

I'd suggest them to put more pictures on walls in hallways. Some parts of the hallways looked clinical and pale. In 5-star hotel I'd also expect a coffee machine available in guest rooms with nice coffee, rather than literally only a couple of instant 2 in 1 Nescafe sachets.

Situated in a small typical Czech village, the majesty of Chateau Heralec catches your eye and overwhelms you immediately. From the preserved castle towers, to the spacious grand suites, to the attentive and welcoming staff, you truly feel like royalty from your first drive through the mighty gate. An experience everyone deserves, I highly recommend an escape from reality in this picturesque chateau.

We live in USA and keep returning to our homeland Czechia and Slovakia. This year we have spent Christmas there and our daughters surprised us with a gift to spend a day in spa at nearby Chateau Heralec. We have been more than pleasantly surprised to find ourselves in the most delightful and gorgeous place. Our daughters immediately expressed a wish to have a wedding there. Service could not be nicer. We asked for a tour and Marie didn't hesitate to show her true admiration and dedication to the place and took us around of this unique chateau. Rooms were restored with top taste, respectful to its original history and combined with pleasing elegance. We could appreciate every details, we are in building industries of high end homes in New York area. Spa was cozy and we have enjoyed an amazing rest there while tasting local organic goodies during times between sauna's breaks.

This was our favorite place to stay on our Europe road trip. Upon arrival my daughter and I each got a long stemmed rose. They brought champagne for my husband and I and apple juice for our 3 kids. In our rooms were robes and slippers, for our whole family of 5! They even had small kid sized ones for our boys (9 and 7). Dinner was delicious. Breakfast was amazing!!
The pool was a great temperature for the kids (We were there in February). The relaxing room was peaceful and the herbal sauna was a totally different experience-in a good way!
HIGHLY recommend this for anyone traveling through Czech Republic-couples, families, or solo.

We stayed two nights at the hotel. It is a beautiful hotel that is very pretty and well restored with a couple exceptions. The staff was friendly and professional. We encountered two issues. There is no air conditioning and it was very hot inside the hotel. Thankfully it did cool down a bit at night. Our suite was large and well appointed. The bathroom was large but not very functional. There is absolutely no counter space to put anything on the there is essentially no shower. There is a bathtub with a hand held sprayer but it is hard to use without getting water all over the floor. A simple shower curtain would really help.

A huge shout out to Sharka (sp?). She was our server at the restaurant, night and day, and was absolutely terrific. Professional, prompt, kind and funny!

All in a very nice stay.

We spent 4 nights at Chateau Heralec. Our room was large, clean and thoughtfully arranged. A wide range of literature was provided, including bedtime stories (local folktales), a history of the Chateau and helpful maps (which we used on our daily local walks). We took many peaceful strolls among the big, old trees in the vast Chateau gardens. We also made use of the saunas and steamroom in the beautiful and clean spa area.
The Chateau staff, from the Reception to the chambermaids, were professional, pleasant and helpful. Our delicious breakfasts and dinners were made more enjoyable by the cheerful and knowledgeable Ms. šárka - our lovely waitress.
So glad we were able to experience this bit of heaven in the Czech countryside!

The chateau is pretty much off the beaten path. It is situated in a small village not far from one of the main highways of Czechia. It has been turned into a luxury small hotel and is a great experience. It is for people that like to spend some unwinding time in a quiet place. The restaurant is also quite nice and we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners there. We stayed two nights while we were between major destinations and really enjoyed. Staff are efficient and very friendly. We are glad we decided to stay here--pretty much based on Trip Advisor reviews.

Dear Mrs. Zaza, We would like to thank you for your question! In our hotel, we have only one large indoor swimming pool, which is in our spa area. The swimming pool is functioning all year around and is heated according to the season, so the warmth of the pool should not be a problem in October when you visit our hotel. Hope this answers your question and please do not hesitate to ask us anything else! Warm regards, Karolina Kasperova
