Alpine Lake Campground captivates many visitors with its array of activities and family-oriented ambiance, though the charm is slightly marred by outdated amenities and a lack of poolside loungers. The atmosphere is often celebrated for its fun events and the staff's warm welcome. Despite the commendable service, some guests balk at the price, feeling that the cost doesn't quite match the value, especially given the extra charges for internet access. Cleanliness is a strong suit, with well-kept grounds, although a few areas could use some improvement.

We've spent two separate weeks here this summer. Having loved our first trip, we came back a second time!
The location is beautiful! The lake is great for fishing, kayaking, canoeing, floating around in tubes. The store is well stocked with the basics and cute gifts and apparel. Masks were required in the store and hand sanitizer was available at the doors when entering.
There is currently a sign-up process for the pool, which seems to work well. Just plan to sign up ahead of time as much as possible, as slots do fill up. However, we found groups stayed to themselves at the pool and everything was cleaned and wiped down between time slots.
The beach offers another opportunity for swimming and staying cool. It was well-kept and there were signs posted with the rules and expected behavior. During the week is was relatively quiet. Obviously on weekends it got a bit busy, but groups were good about keeping their distance from each other for the most part.
Weekends offer additional activities hosted by the campground - craft bags, scavenger hunts, bingo, corn hole tournaments, etc. So there is no shortage of things to do, but just being there on the water creates endless opportunities of ways to keep busy and cool! And if you're looking for just some relaxation, that's also easy to do while enjoying the views and wildlife (geese, ducks, etc.)

We stayed in Cabin 242 and we felt like we had the privacy we wanted with access to the amenities close by. The cabin was well stocked with plates, silverware, cups, and pots for cooking. The beds were pretty comfortable and the a/c kept the cabin a nice cool 70 when it was 90+ degrees outside.

We arrived late on a cold, rainy, foggy Friday just before Memorial Day, We were able to get our cabin keys from the late check in easily, and proceeded to the cabin. Because this was Memorial Day weekend, we could see the campgrounds were packed, but the cabins were facing a separate lake which was a nice contrast from the packed camp areas. When we arrived, we found we didn't have heat in the cabin, the water wasn't turned on yet, and the towels/linens that were supposed to be there were missing. We spent a few hours on Saturday, waiting for the maintenance team to come, look at the heat pump, replace the batteries in the remote, and say they will need to get someone to fix it the next week. They did run to the local hardware store and buy two space heaters for the cabin. The maintenance man was extremely nice and also was flustered trying to figure out why the towels that were in the cabins on Thursday were missing Friday( it was all the cabins, not just ours- they think it was the housekeeping company). The view of the lake from the cabin was beautiful, the heated swimming pool was great, and the "grill" style food (hamburgers/cheese steak,..) was very good. If it wasn't for the missteps in prepping for the busy weekend, I wouldn't hesitate to rate this a 5.

upon arrival, there was no escort to the site. I requested 1 as we saw it was very crowded and tight. Waited for around 45 mins before someone came. I was placed on site 120. the site was very small and not leveled. The entrance was on a "U" from the street and there were two RV very close to the site. The site was 30Amps my paid contract was for a 50 Amp. After waiting for another 1/2 hour they switched us to another site # 192 which was much better in size and it was leveled. The site didn't look like anyone had cleaned it as the fire pit had garbage. THis was also true for #120 the first site we were taken too. I spoke to the front desk about the check-in app that I was charged $24 additional for an extra person because I put my name in addition to my guest. They only gave me credit for $18 where did the $6 went? they said that all they can give me. The sites in this park are so closed it looks like the "ghetto" in fact I later found out the "annuals" refer to that secion as the "ghetto" In addition the lake smells like is rotten as the water just sits there. I wondered how people who had the waterfront sites can take the smell of it. I walked around the lake and couldn't stand the smell. This is a park that would be out of my list and will not return.

The property is generally well kept, the entire staff is helpful and friendly and the store has almost every item a camper may need, however, the showers could use an update. This is our third stay at Alpine Lake and we enjoy staying there. We were disappointed with the large price increase for our 2022 week.

The amenities of a pool and showers were what attracted us to this location. We were looking forward to both after a long day of travel and exploring. The pool closes at 6pm, we got there at 7. Due to Covid19, which is no fault of theirs, to use the pool you had to have RESERVATIONS for the pool because the number of people had to be limited. This was not stated anywhere, we only learned it when we asked why there was no one in the poo;l at 7pm on a summer evening. There were no open reservations for the 3 days we were there. The showers closed at 9. Its summer, its still light out, and the pool and showers are closed for the evening. We've been to multiple RV "resorts" and have never experienced this. The bathrooms were also very run down. Thankfully they were flush toilets and there was running water, but not much else to say after that. We paid "resort" fees to basically have nothing more than a place to park and have electric and water hookup.

I went to Alpine Lake every year as a child on RV sites, and we loved it! Now, I've returned with my family in a cabin rental, and the overall campground has greatly improved. We rented kayaks and a row boat, for a reasonable price, and enjoyed the pool! The beach at the lake was not really the best for swimming, so we would have liked to have seen a cleaner swim area, but overall, that did not take away from our overall experience that much and we had a great time. We'd like to see the beach with much less seaweed so swimming can be enjoyable.

Alpine Lake Resort is a large campground with predominantly seasonal sites. I was there for a week and have a mixed opinion of it as a campground. It has pretty sites on the water, and they were most accommodating about changing our reservation arrival date, so the staff I would give 5 stars. The sites are levelled with gravel, have a long cement pad and WSE and cable are all working. However the sites are the tiniest I have ever seen and very, very crowded together. The neighbor's two cars were parked in such a way that we couldn't walk around the front of our camper. That gave them more room, but left us very cramped. We had to ask them to move so we could get on our site. The back end of our camper was adjacent to a sewer pumpout and cabin driveway,so we had barely enough space to park there. We were directly above a cabin, so we had no privacy on any part of our site. We had hoped for nice quiet breakfasts and dinners by the lake, but that never was possible. The pool was nice, but lots of horseplay and unsupervised kids made it not relaxing on a hot Saturday and Sunday. Perhaps some adults only time would be nice, groups of teens playing football the length of the pool is really not acceptable. It was better on Monday. The most off putting aspect of this campground was the bathrooms. For resort pricing, these are awful. Broken toilet seats, no paper towels all week, it was a short step up from an outhouse! The shower house is a joke from the 1970s... no water temp control, no faucets, no handicap stall, no dry place to put your clothes. I strongly suggest this resort corp visit some campgrounds and get some updated ideas. I realize the seasonal campers don't use the shower house probably, but for 100 dollars plus per night, I expect a faucet in the shower! All in all, the location was good for what we wanted to do, the setting was pretty, but it is way overpriced for what it offers as standard amenities. We won't be back.

Alpine Lake Resort has 2 swimming pools, a fishing lake and plenty of activities for the kids. They have kayaks, paddle boards and golf carts for rent. This a great place to bring the family for the weekend or a week if you want to keep the kids busy.

On the other hand, this is not the place to go for quiet camping in the woods. The campsites are small and very close together. Many seasonal visitors. Everyone is very helpful and nice so be open to socializing with your neighbors.

Many people bring or rent golf carts. There are also a lot of bicyclists. We had constant traffic past our campsite. The best time for a quiet walk through the campground is before 7:30 AM.

Quiet time was observed by the campers. Through out the day the campground was very busy and loud but once quiet time kicked in everyone settled down.

We had a full hookup site and everything worked well. The staff was helpful and friendly. The sites were a bit pricey.

This was not the place for us. It would be great for people who want a bustling campground with activities for the kids.

SHADY. They raised our seasonal site price almost $2000 with out notifying us, I went in to put down our deposit and looked at my receipt, thats how we found out. Our neighbors didn't know, we called them and told them to call and check their rates and sure enough theirs went up that much too. Us and 6 of our neighbors just found out and have less than a week to move our trailer and all of our belongings. Susan, the manager is awful. Her response when asking why we weren't notified was that she didn't know until we put our deposit down. Everyones site went up 4%, ours is super special i guess and went up 40%!! Its not a premium water front site either. I dont understand how they require seasonals to make their deposits with out giving out bills with what they will owe. Maybe hoping nobody would notice or by the time they did it would be too late, as deposits are non refundable? We had no intentions on moving, we don't even have a truck to move our trailer as we were planning on staying many years. Very sad, frustrating situation.

I would recommend contacting the campground directly. We stay in site 226 with our motor home but friends stayed in the cabin below (231) and they loved it. It was clean , efficient, right on lake, closest to the beach and short little walk to the pool and snack shop.
