Nice staying, breakfast was good, we weren't expecting it but it was really good. Pool was nice an clean and the fact that is indoor its a plus. kids enjoyed it. Easy location close to amenities. convenient walking distance Fromm the local supermarket.
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the BW in Cooperstown. Conveniently located on Rt. 28 just 4 miles from downtown, the hotel is close by numerous restaurants and next door to a supermarket in case you need supplies for your trip home. The hotel itself is clean and well maintained, the rooms are large and the beds ultra-comfortable. The included breakfast was adequate to kickstart us for our days out and about.
2 min from dream park! Don’t plan on eating meat or eggs. Sausage and ham are both boiled in water, eggs are powdered. Both really gross. Hot tub is broken and the pool is cold. Manager is grumpy. The gym is two treadmills. The guy running breakfast was nice and works hard he did his best with what they offer.
I was looking for a hotel near Cooperstown for my trip, and on the weekend I was originally looking this hotel was going for almost $300, so I chose somewhere else. My flight then got cancelled and I had to rebook everything for the following weekend. Interesting that one week later the BW was now going for $169 so I booked it. The hotel was clean and everyone on staff that I interacted with was very friendly. The room was clean and just what I needed, a place to get a good night's sleep and a decent breakfast in the morning. The location was perfect because it was just a quick couple of minute drive to the Blue trolley lot. As long as the price is reasonable I would stay here again.
Their were outlets that were broke and unsafe for kids to be around. The remote to the TV didn’t work so we could use the TV. The pool was out of order so that was a disappointment. They put my family in a different building away from the main building that was dirty and unsafe feeling. The main building looked so nice and the building we were in not so nice.
Unexceptional hotel with unmemorable rooms, a simple breakfast, and ample parking. Don't be fooled by the advertising claim about a swimming pool. Staff will simply tell you it is closed. No other complaints, and no praise, either.
Hotel has been rebranded and renovated to some degree - but will always look old. Upgrading the furniture in the rooms would be a good idea. On the other hand, large rooms, many with nice views; and a complementary breakfast far better than expected. Price is very reasonable so, in all, can be considered a good value.
The manager Scott is unprofessional and rude. The kitchen is well equipped with good food but there are ants everywhere including on the waffle maker. Pool was broken the entire time I was there. There’s only one night staff worker who is amazing and the cleaning staff are wonderful. Other than that it wasn’t too bad. If you don’t mind being spoken to like you’re a two-year-old child who just broke something or spilled some thing and being constantly disturbed by the manager then definitely stay here. If you want to relax and get in the pool but are OK with it being broken the whole time also stay here. If you want to breakfast with ants crawling all over your waffles stay here as well.
I will admit, I stayed at The Best Western bc it was the cheapest in the area and offered an amazing discount for travel nurses; however, I will be staying here all the time now! The service, friendliness of the staff and amenities ( I mean, what other hotel chain puts make up removal wipes in their rooms?🥰) and of course cleanliness are above and beyond this price range! Good job, Best Western!
I was a traveling nurse staying for a few days, At 6am was at the coffee bar getting a cup, when all I can hear was the front desk lady yelling and swearing so loud and she came out slamming things . My room was ok had a musty smell to it, but when your so tired from a 16hr shift you just want to go to bed anywhere. The only really friendly people there that I had encountered was the gentleman that was cooking breakfast didn't get his name, and the front desk lady with tattoos, was so nice and helpful very knowledgeable about the area, more places should have staff like them. They made my stay there bearable. Water was always cold ,if you let the shower run for 15 min, it got kinda warm. The only reason I would go back is that is a cheap place to lay my head down, better then sleeping in my car.…
