Our friends rented this campsite for both of us. It was pre-paid and when we arrived there was no one in the office. Before we could even hook up to our campsite it was so filled with garbage and so unsanitary that we had to leave. The fire pit was filled with garbage and there was toilet paper strewn on the ground as well. It seemed unsanitary and unhealthy so we went down the road to another campground which was fine. We arrived at Beaver at 3 PM so we would assume the owners had ample time to clean up the few rented campsites that had been pre-paid. It is off-season so they had very few campers here.
If the experience of Cooperstown Dreams Park wasn't enough, I really thought this place was great. It was close to the fields and a very clean park. It was nice to have the pool, baseball field and the small pond to do a little fishing in also. They are pretty strict about the quiet time, but that doesn't bother me too much. As I get older, I need my sleep. The staff was great if you did happen to need anything. We stayed in one of the Cabins just past the office. They were clean and everything worked. It could easily sleep 6 people if needed. It was nice having the Kitchen while we were there for the week. They do need to work on the Wifi out there though. I forgot what it felt like to not have technology.
My son’s U12 FL Scorpions baseball team that was scheduled to arrive June 12th at Cooperstown Dreams Park (CDP) was canceled in early March. Last Summer I put down 1/2 non-refundable deposit ($880) for housing with Juli at Beaver Valley Cabins thru Airbnb who was holding the funds. Airbnb would have not released the funds without Juli’s consent as it was clear that the funds were non-refundable after 48 hrs and although CDP canceled all Summer tournaments in March lodging was still allowed for the Summer. This has been a difficult time for the Cooperstown area and all the families involved this Summer with CDP. My son’s team has not yet been refunded by CDP and I am aware of other other lodgings doing their best to work out ways to give back funds/credits if possible. Although we won’t be staying at Beaver Valley Cabins this Summer I plan to when my youngest son’s team goes.…
We came here site unseen like so many of the places we go and everything was AWESOME! The owners, Juli & Dwayne, and staff, Jean & Stacy were helpful, friendly and accommodating! The sites were awesome from full hookups to tent sites and they have cabins too. Lots of treed sites some very wooded to open sites. Clean bathrooms and laundry and the pride these people feel for this place is VERY evident. 2 baseball fields, fishing ponds, dog area and kids playground. The only negative is the Internet service is lacking at the sites, but they do have an “Internet cafe” at the office. This was our kind of camping! We are definitely planning a return trip.
Very nice shady, level sites in the back of the park. Our hook-ups were in the front of the site, which seemed a bit unusual but worked alright for our RV. Swimming pool and nice grounds. Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet setting.
