Bedrooms are large, air-conditioned and scrupulously clean. Large bathrooms with both tub and shower. Nicely furnished in grand old home. When weather permits, gourmet breakfast on the flower filled porch starts the day well. Food is delicious, varied, fresh, and generous! Penney's hospitality is first rate. She is helpful, engaging and kind. The location is great for a stroll to... More

We've stayed in several B and Bs in Cooperstown. Some may be fancier, but Nelson Ave Pines is now my favorite. It's small, only 2 rooms plus an attic suite of 2 bedrooms and kitchenette--I didn't see that one. Our room and it's bathroom were comfortable and roomy. Breakfast delicious and plentiful. The location is perfect, walk to town easily. Easy... More

Nelson Avenue Pines was the best B&B on our recent seven-state road trip. Not only are the rooms spacious and pretty, but the host, Penney, & her assistant, Phyllis went out of their way for us. On our first night we walked to a restaurant for dinner & a downpour erupted suddenly. Penney texted us to offer a ride back... More

This was our first trip to Cooperstown and our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast. We had a wonderful experience, and felt very much at home. Incredible breakfasts ( fresh fruit salad, cinnamon french toast, Belgium waffles, homemade bread, etc) and one morning my 6 year old wanted waffles instead, and Penney made it special for him. We... Location is close to downtown Cooperstown - less than 10 minute walk to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Tennis courts across the street (they provide rackets & balls). Rooms are clean & comfortable. The Breakfast is outstanding. Penney was very flexible on when to serve breakfast based on my schedule. Eating on the front porch is highly recommended.

After spending a few days in the barracks at Dreams Park Nelson Avenue Pines was the next best thing to home, and brought a once-in-a-lifetime, three-generation trip to Cooperstown to a terrific end. Nice, comfortable room, delicious breakfast each morning, very friendly staff, and an easy walk into town and the Hall of Fame... great place!

I just returned from a two night stay at this perfectly located Cooperstown B&B. I travelled with my husband and 16 yr. old daughter. Our family stayed in the two bedroom suite located in the attic. There are two sleeping areas seperated by a kitchenette and bathroom. We had lots of space and were quite comfortable. Penney is a very... More

What a lovely experience we had at tNelson Pines. The location could not be more perfect - a 5 minute walk to downtown, and across the street from the lake . The beds were comfortable - the rooms pleasantly decorated -and bathrooms large. Breakfasts were absolutely delicious and served on the wide , breezy front porch. Penny, the owner is... More

Stopped in Cooperstown for Father's Day. We stayed in the two bedroom 3rd floor suite. Penney the owner offered a rollaway bed so each of our kids could have their own beds but still be in the same room together. The kids loved having their own area with their own small TV. We had a very nice breakfast with fruit,... More

Decided to abandon the usual Hotel/Motel route and chose Nelson Avenue Pines Bed & Breakfast instead. That decision was a good one. Owner/Operator Penney Gentile made our all-too-brief stay in Cooperstown a great one. The Victorian house is located just outside (walking distance really) the town of Cooperstown. The Blue Room was perfect for my wife and I. I will... More
