This Bed and Breakfast is located on a residential side street in downtown picturesque Cooperstown within easy walking distance of Main Street and the Hall of Fame. It is a quiet location and is clean and pleasant. Guests enter through a rear entrance and thus not through the owner's main rooms. We found the decor a bit too fussy for our tastes, but the owners are pleasant and have many years in the lodging industry. Nice soaps and lotions were in the room. Breakfast is served in a cluttered dining room on fine china. We had some of the best scones I've ever eaten for breakfast, and the owner made eggs to order. Overall, this is a good place to stay in Cooperstown. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Portebello in Fly Creek. It is relatively expensive but quite good, unlike some of the tourist restaurants downtown.

We were in Cooperstown for induction weekend and our usual B&B was booked so we were able to book the family space in the Lyoncher. The host Tom could not have been nicer and given that we were there Induction weekend we felt the price to be reasonable. We were offered the family space which is the second floor of the main space and we were very pleased with it. My wife took one look and as said "how cute". The space is very large with a bedroom with one queen and 2 single beds, a living large living room with a hide-a-bed and a love seat, a small reading room, a full kitchen and bath. The space has a separate entrance which made coming and going very easy. This unit does not include breakfast since it has a full kitchen but it wasn't a problem for us. We found the Lyoncher to be a real gem in Cooperstown.

We looked at the room around 12:30 and were going to stay however my boyfriend became sick so we decided to head home. I call them around 4:00 to let them know we would not be staying. We never brought in luggage or spent any time in the room and they cashed my check the next day. There was no one looking to rent the room and I highly doubt anyone would want to rent it. I would not call the place a B&B more like someone is renting a room in their house. There is no common area to sit, the television in the room was ancient and super small, you had to go in the hallway to the bathroom which was a main reason we decided not to stay there.

Recently we had the pleasure to stay with Jean at her amazing Bed and Breakfast. I was there as my son was in the hospital there and motels were way overpriced and she was on the hospitals list of places to stay. The house was very comfortable and antiques were the décor. Our room was very comfortable, and very clean. We were able to get to the hospital in just minutes and Main Street was two blocks away. Jean makes the most amazing breakfast, and shared her marvelous company with us as well. I would not have been able to endure my time there being with my son without her and her gracious company and kind words. Will come back and visit when we can. Jean is our angel.

The Lyoncher is very clean and comfortable, breakfast was tasty, and it's a quick walk to the Baseball Hall of Fame. The owners, Tom and Jean, are lovely people and gave us great recommendations for other things to do in the area. We look forward to staying here again!

We were not able to visit Cooperstown during the very busy summer months. We had some days off so we decided to stay overnight before visiting other beautiful sights in New York State. This bed & breakfast was a wonderful choice.

We've stayed here twice while at Dreams Park. The family space upstairs is PERFECT! The property is well maintained and the owners are very nice. Close to downtown on a picture perfect small town street.

My husband and I with our two teenage daughters stayed in the Lyoncher's family suite for the week while our son played in the Cooperstown Dreams Park tournament. We could not have been more pleased with the convenience of the location and spaciousness of our accommodations. The Lyoncher is walking distance to the village which has the baseball HOF and many great cafe's, bakeries, fun pubs and gift shops. It is a short (less than 10 min) drive to Dreams Park which allowed an easy back and forth between games. Tom and Jean were very gracious and welcoming hosts and the family suite is a perfect space for parents traveling with children. Not to mention, having a washer and dryer is key for mom. Added note, if you are a walker or runner, you will love the scenery of the area. Definitely recommend. Thanks for everything Tom and Jean, we wish you well!
