Just back from an extended break. Have to put in a note that this is the best B&B I have experienced!....the house is welcoming, the gardens beautiful, the food excellent.....and the hosts interested, interesting and helpful.....especially when I left something behind! Cannot be faulted.
Everything about Daylily Dreams is stellar.....the rooms, the garden, the breakfasts, the ambience. But, most of all, it is the warmth of the hospitality that has brought us back year after year. Thank you Rae and Bob. You have gone out of your way to make every visit special and memorable. Without a doubt, Daylily Dreams is our favourite B&B.
First a disclaimer, though my user name is Daylilly, I have no connection to Daylilly Dreams. I must admit I was intrigued by the name, and was delighted to have found this gem of a B&B, We come every year to go to the Glimmerglass Opera House ( yes there is much more than baseball in Cooperstown). The inn is a five minute drive from the center of town and gives easy access to many of the sites south of the town. It is a quiet oasis of beauty. I have never seen a garden as beautiful except in Botanical gardens. The owners Bob and Rae take great pride in their property and you will see daylily varieties you have never seen before. They also sell some of their excess plants The inn is small , with only three rooms. They are very well furnished with every thing one could want. Beds are queen sized, and the bath configuration is different in each room. The public rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. Breakfast was in a lovely dining room, and all dietary needs were considered. Especially appreciative that they had lactaid milk for my husband. There was fresh fruit, muffins and made to order eggs.(we opted for no meat) Bob and Rae were wonderful hosts and know the area well. We will be back next year.…
These are nice people with a nice clean place with a great breakfast in a beautiful setting only a few minutes from downtown. What more could you ask! The rooms, although quite small, are very clean and well furnished.
What a wonderful stay we had. The hosts were great. The property is beautiful. Rooms had their own bathrooms. Best breakasts ever. Bob and Raw are very knowledgeable of the are and was able to answer all our questions and also some history. Definitely worth the stay. Loved it.
