The room with 2 queen beds was in immaculate condition upon arrival. You can tell that the owners take pride in their property due to their attention to detail. The kids enjoyed swimming in the lake and playing at the beach; they also loved the "old school" arcade and pool table. The lobby/lounge is a great place to get out of your room and just hang out, especially if the weather is inclement. We bought some meats at Price Chopper and then used the community grill. We also took a canoe out for a spin on the lake. Just do it! When visiting Cooperstown, do yourself a favor and book this location. Then drive down and park in a trolley lot for free, and let the trolley take you around town. ($5.50 for a family pass trolley ticket for the day). Thank you to the owners and staff for a wonderful stay!…
This place was just perfect for a few days in a fun fall escape for my husband and me. We loved the setting right on the lake. We enjoyed the moonrise over the lake from our private balcony room on the upper lever. The room was very clean and fresh. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful with recommendations. The coffee in the morning was hot and good! We will pick this as a place to stay if our future travels bring us back to this area.
My husband and I stayed in Bayside Inn for one night. Fabulous location. The room was spacious and spotless . The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was plenty big with lots of lighting . There is a day room with lots of tables and chairs and microwave where you can bring back food and dine in comfort. Also a large outdoor dining area . The girl on reception was very helpful. I would definitely recommend .
Less than two miles from Glimmerglass Opera and less than 10 minutes from Cooperstown, right on the shore of Lake Otsego with a swimming beach, kayaks and canoes. We enjoyed the lake views from our room. We appreciated the small fridge and microwave, spacious bathroom, comfortable bed, and fast wifi service with plenty of convenient electrical outlets. Ample parking onsite. Slight drawback, no breakfast or restaurant on-site. Try the price chopper market in town or excellent Cooperstown restaurants.
Nice place to stay when you want to get away from the city! The staff is very friendly and helpful and it feels like home away from home. We wished we had planned a longer stay to enjoy both the amenities at the lodging (canoe on the lake!) and the activities in town.
We stayed in May 2022 for a concert at Brewery Ommegang. Checkin was quick and easy. Our room was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The little beach area has plenty of seating and a fire pit. We took out the kayaks and the water was calm and clear. We will definitely be back. Not a negative for the hotel, but there were no Uber/Lyft drivers available and we couldn’t get a taxi since it was an event weekend and we didn’t reserve in advance. There is no food nearby, but it wasn’t an issue since we brought snacks and Cooperstown is an easy drive.
My wife and I recently spent several days in Cooperstown and stayed at the motel. The rooms were very nice especially considering the cost. Unfortunately due to the weather and time constraints we could not spend time on the lake, but there is access from the motel grounds. This would seem to be a very nice place for a family with children to stay.
We were looking to stay as close to Cooperstown as we could as many hotels are 15-30 miles out. This was reasonably close at about 6 miles and the price was reasonable (comparatively). We checked in at night; it's a little tricky to find the driveway in the dark. We rented a one-bedroom cottage; it comes with a kitchen and queen sleeper sofa. We were surprised the next morning when we realized we were right on the lake! There is a peek-a-boo view from the cottages. Our cottage was clean and perfectly functional, but definitely nothing fancy. We appreciated the appointed kitchen, but be sure to stop in town and grab groceries if you think you're going to want to make coffee, bagels, etc. Full size fridge and stove, toaster, etc. are included. We could have used a few more blankets as the weather is now turning chilly, but all in all it was A-OK. A nice alternative to the big, overpriced, chain hotels.…
Room was in back with lake view. Quiet, clean and comfortable with two queen beds. Staff was pleasant and very accommodating. Location is about 10 minutes from Main Street in Cooperstown and near the Farm Museum and Hale Mansion. Town has nice shops, some great restaurants and of course the Baseball Hall of Fame, which for any fan is at least 3 hours of great baseball history. Overall a beautiful time and hope to return soon.
Arrived after closing but my room key and directions to the room were left on the front desk, Nice Touch. Our room was clean and comfortable. Quite reminiscent of the Motel/Rooms from the 50s and 60s. The staff was friendly and helpful and the view was amazing. Would definitely stay here next time we're in the area.
