My boyfriend and I arrived late on a Friday (9pm) and the staff was willing to stay open until we arrived. Once we arrived, one of the rangers was kind enough to drive us to a secluded private camping site and offered to grab more wood and kindling for our fire. The campsite was beautiful and clean and the staff...

Well situated with easy access to beautiful Lake Otsego. The campground sites were nice and though some were much more private than others they were all a good size. Clean and well maintained restroom/shower facilities and friendly rangers at registration and gate.

My wife and I had the pleasure of spending three nights at the campground located in the state park. It is quite small with only 60 or so sites (30 or so electric and the balance primitive) but it is one of the best state parks I have ever stayed in. The staff was cheerful, inviting and informative. It has...

Just spent the weekend away with my 13 year old son Bryce. We went to the Baseball Hall of Fame and had a great time. Instead of staying at a hotel we decided to camp out over night. I found Glimmerglass State Park on the net and that became our destination. We stayed in a great site over by Beaver...

I went to Glimmerglass State Park in the middle of August, and had it nearly all to myself. The lack of visitors might have been due to a sign on route 20 at the turnoff to County Road 31that said that the road was closed several miles down. What they failed to state was that the road was open to...

If you are looking for a beautiful natural paradise and a cheap night’s stay, where the staff is super welcoming and friendly, then Glimmerglass is the place! An alternative to the other local campgrounds, such as Shady Brook , you’ll get a lot more from your hard earned money here. First of all, the park is simply gorgeous! The lake...

Excellent service from park employees. Check in every morning with us. Use one of their leantoos, nice! Camped at Beaver Pond and saw 2 beavers. $12 a day to camp each night. No showers in winter, but yes in summer. Nice beach for summer. Easy to moderate hiking trails up to 1 mile or so. $5 for bundle of wood,...

This is the nicest state park campground I've ever visited. When I booked the resevation almost four months ago there was only one site available. 12A turned out to be a wonderful private little oasis with our own little bridge to it. Campground was very clean, provided free hot showers, and covered the fee to enter the state park. It...

We stayed in august of 07'. We did not make reservations so we took what we could get. The first night we squeezed are 26' camper into what I think was a single tent site. Next day we had to move to an overflow site. This was a huge open field with nice views. Mind you it was August in...
