My wife and I needed a night away from the routine of life, and we love the Hudson valley, so we decided that a night in Cold Spring would be great. We got lucky that the Pig Hill Inn had a 1 night availability (usually a 2 night minimum) so we decided to stay here. We checked in with no... More

Cozy and friendly place that also respects your privacy if you're feeling like being alone. There was a fireplace in our room and you can order champagne to be waiting for you. Amazing! There was a chocolate cake in the evening for guests to partake in. What the hell, that was amazing too! On Saturday we had breakfast in the... More

It was my first time in Cold Spring for a 2 night stay. I received a warm welcome from Vera who showed me to my room. Originally I wanted another room that wasn't available but I ended up enjoying the room that I had which was quiet and cozy. Breakfast was served each morning (with care) . Coming from Manhattan... Very quaint and lovely place in a wonderful location. It IS stuffed full of all kinds of knick knacks and decorations, which may be a little overwhelming at first, but make for some fascinating browsing, and everything is immaculate. We stayed downstairs and the room was fine. The windows open right on to the street, so if it's warm and... More

My partner and I wanted to get out of the hot smelly city for a weekend and the Pig Hill Inn was just what we needed. Vera, the innkeeper, was lovely -- funny, kind, charming. The included breakfast was AMAZING: fresh, delicious ingredients, wonderful service. You sign up for a time between 8:30 and 9:45 a.m. and they give you... More

I was going to see a performance at the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival and stayed at the Pig Hill Inn. Good choice. The room was clean and comfortable. The bath was not en suite but it was all mine and the price of $150 was just right. The Wi-Fi was excellent and the breakfast of a spinach and cheddar omelet... More

The Pig Hill Inn has a Victorian feel, somewhere on the border between cozy and cluttered. We had a very nice breakfast and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our bathroom had an old fashioned tub shower that was hard to get in and out of. Nice location downtown. WiFi was unreliable in our room.

There's a difference between historical and just plain old dated. Our room on the third floor was extremely worn with old stained upholstered furniture. The bed was just passable. the sink was in the bedroom and shower/toilet area was very very small and didn't feel especially clean. I can truly say nothing positive about our experience there. I was happy... More

My boyfriend and I visited Pig Hill in late June and had a great time. Amazing rooms in a great location on the high street, very close to the station (and opposite the best frozen ice-lolly shop in the world). The staff were both friendly and discreet. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, allowing us... More

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights. From arrival to departure, this place was great. Dave (owner's assistant?) was very hospitable and friendly. He greeted us upon arrival - check-in was a breeze. He set us up with the only room with the king size bed. Room was cozy and clean. The mattress was a bit soft for our... More
