Features mediocre food in a lovely setting. Staff always unsure of itself, service fair, bar is positioned in a silly place so that you have a view of the street or a wall, totally absurd. I cannot comment on the rooms as I have not been a guest in one (I live 9 miles away). Were I asked to recommend...

Hudson House Inn is a great place for a nice, quiet weekend away. The Inn itself is very charming and holds its century-and-a-half-old character well. If you're hoping for a luxury hotel experience, this is not the place to stay. Instead, this charming spot offers great food and a great escape from the hustle of the City, at a very...

This restaurant has great views of the Hudson River, so make sure to ask for a table by a window. When my wife and I arrived for lunch the restaurant was almost empty, so we were disappointed that the service was very, very slow and inattentive. We each had a very generous serving of French onion soup, followed by a...

Building c.1832 with attractive period inn/restaurant and appears to be one of the nicest local restaurants along popular Main St. I ordered pizza that was on a dry cracker with overly sweet pizza sauce. However, my wife loved the onion soup & I literally watched a woman scrape her bowl after she finished the lobster bisque.Crêpe tasting-like rolls served with...

We planned our son's rehearsal dinner from Florida with Craig, and we found him to be very helpful in planning this event with us. The setting on the Hudson river is gorgeous, and the dinning room was set up and decorated beautifully for our large group - see photo. The food was excellent: salad, rib-eye steak, chicken breast with four...

I stayed at the HHI for a Saturday night and I was very disappointed. My wife and I were supposed to take a Seastreak Ferry up the Hudson from NJ but bad weather cancelled the boatride. Since I had already booked the room and had passed the cancellation date I drove up and visited Cold Spring, NY. The room was...

Great location, excellent breakfast, tired room decor, small room, sink level with my crotch, mirror offered good view of my chest, and parking is not convenient. If you visit this area Beacon would be a better bet. More options for lodging, eating, shopping, DIA:Beacon, a very interesting art museum.

As others have reported, the furniture in the room could use some updating. It didn't bother me, but did my wife. Other than that, the room was very nice, clean, and comfortable. We had a balcony overlooking the river. The restaurant food and service was excellent. Their bar closes 9:00 PM on Sundays, so we didn't get a chance to...

Have been here twice, once for Easter Brunch which was wonderful and a second time with a larger group for my son's graduation dinner. The Brunch at Easter was fantastic, the food, excellent, the menu great. Service was fantastic. The second time, even though I made a reservation a month in advance, we were not able to be seated in...

“We stayed in Room 1 with balcony, and little sitting area, small old fashioned TV, and not much storage space. Room 2 was same but instead of sitting area it had a closet, only an amoire in room 1. Room 2 is connected to suite 3/4, and you can hear everything. We checked out room 6, no balcony but same size room. Would not visit on Tues. Restaurant closed, and town empty. maybe just in winter”
