I would highly recommend this beautiful Inn to anyone wanting the safest experience during the covid-19 pandemic. The owner, Alyse has studied how to make this the safest stay possible from the moment of booking your stay, to the moment of check out and implements every measure imaginable to provide a safe stay to her guests. I stayed in the Murray room because I wanted to have my own private porch. I look forward to visiting again. (see the Mckinley House web page for their covid practices.)

What a picture perfect place the McKinley House is to have a romantic getaway in Clayton New York. From the moment you see this stunning Home from the street you can’t help but be taken back in time to a bygone era. Once inside the Hallmark movie begins as the main foyer and splendid rooms are stunning and you can’t help falling in love. You need to get up close and personal with the stained glass original window ... ask to see the hidden one too! Quality workmanship both inside and out. The features of this grand home have been lovingly maintained by the great inn keepers and every attention to detail is in pristine shape. The McKinley House is very clean and perfect temperature control. The company is amazing and our breakfasts made us feel like one of the family. Thank you for a truly wonderful stay. This has been one of the best places we have stayed at. Will absolutely be back again.

We had a splendid stay. The house is beautifuly decorated in the era it was built. Steven and Alyse, the owners, are very nice people. We enjoyed listening to the history of the house. It is very clean and well maintained. Kathy is a hoot. We would definitely stay there again.

This is a must stay at B&B. The hosts, Steve & Alyse are absolutely fantastic. The B&B is spotless and the rooms are well appointed. Steve and Alyse are the best Inn-keepers we have had the privilege to meet and spend time on the awesome wrap around porch visiting. Clayton is a great town on the St Lawrence river, you're real close to walk to great restaurants and shops. Our friends simply said, WOW what a great choice for a place to stay in Clayton. Highly recommended, we will be back. Be sure to book early, they fill up on weekends fast.

All the reviews are so positive. The owners were very friendly and helpful, the house was pretty, the room was immaculate. No TV in the room and the light bulbs were so dim that in was impossible to read. The breakfast didn't begin to resemble most of the reviews or our experiences in other B&Bs. Yes, good coffee. A large variety of cold cereals. A half a cup of fruit. And french toast. I suspect the owner usually does creative breakfasts and our timing was off.
