Had a very enjoyable afternoon tea at this very nice hotel. The sandwiches were very tasty with plenty of filling followed by a small scone, jam and cream, and small cakes My only criticism would be that we were not offered a top up of tea and coffee, which we could have done with by the time we had finished,...

Very friendly place to stop over, staff very helpful, lovely and accommodating, our room was spacious and comfy and my husband enjoyed his birthday weekend. The Blue Boar was located in a pretty setting, we then continued to our Whiskey and Gin tour.

Waited 3/4 of an hour for 3 sandwiches, just about to walk out when the order was brought out to us, appalling service. Each time we asked how much longer our food was going to be, we were told "a minute", good job it wasn't an emergency. The pub wasn't busy either, won't be visiting this one again.

Wonderfully quirky pub, food and service were absolutely first rate. Room was clean and well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Will definitely visit again - only wish we lived closer as the Blue Boar would make a great local.

I bought this as a treat for Mum and I. I must say the drive up and the pub itself was beautiful and in a lovely location which made it easy to find. We were greeted and seated straight away with a smile. The sandwiches had lots of variety and filling. The cheese cake slices and brownies were delicious. The...

I have stopped off at this pub a few times for a quick drink when visiy=ting family locally. On this occasion we were staying in the area for a couple of days so stayed at the Inn for a couple of nights. It's a typical old pub with narrow staircases but the room was very pleasant and well equipped. Breakfast...

What a disappointment. We were shown to our table by a grumpy waiter and were brought our prosecco by another waitress. Grumpy waiter then silently plonked a cake stand between us but there was no mention of any tea or coffee. 'High Tea' comprised 3 badly constructed finger sandwiches each with crusts still on, one very small fruit scone each...

We have been a number of times for afternoon tea, also evening meals and stayed overnight. The afternoon tea with Prosecco( the men could have Irish coffee) we had last week was excellent as usual, the lovely member of staff who looked after us, even said we could have more sandwiches if we liked....we did. We will no doubt be...
