Have been coming to this Inn since 2015 but this year the food seems much better. Very good a la carte menu to choose from and also a set 2 or 3 course menu for Monday to Thursday. We've eaten from both menus and have enjoyed each meal. Staff, I think, are mainly Hungarian and are very helpful, polite and...

Very nice atmosphere on arriving and a nice little focal point of a well, lit up, with goldfish swimming below a glass floor. Shown to our table by an eastern European waiter with more than a passing resemblance to fawlty towers Manuel. It quickly became noticeable that it was a full compliment of non British staff, some more legible than...

The upside of this place was that they were generally very friendly and particularly to my dog, but unfortunately that's where it ends. The room was basic, hot and next to an extractor fan. The bedside light didn't work and the ceiling light was hanging by its wires from the ceiling. The pub itself is ok, but any quaintness has...

Recently enjoyed an afternoon tea at this well established, old traditional pub. Service was good and the coffee/cake etc.was very palatable. Would like to try their evening menu sometime. Worth a visit. Steve R.

After driving past this place many times and promising ourselves a visit we finally made it through the doors and it was well worth the wait. The pub itself is very pretty and quaint and the restaurant is delightful. The food is fantastic, in fact I cannot remember the last time I enjoyed a meal out so much. The portion...

Booked for 1700 on a sunday afternoon (before going to RSC) We had booked this online although there were plenty of seats at that time. It was a lovely friendly atmostphere in this typically country pub with a nice garden for the summer. The menu was al a carte and there was a good choice of starters, mains and desserts....

Nice people, friendly service, historic value and great for Stratford upon Avon if you have a car. Chintzy and traditional but cosy. The stairs up to your room are hard to manage after dinner and wine!!

Arriving mid afternoon for a late lunch we were made very welcome, the food from the main menu was excellent & good value. The waitresses who served us were very friendly & attentive. I was celebrating my forthcoming birthday & had received a voucher which was taken & dealt with most efficiently. We will definitely be calling again when in...

Stayed here for a single night as a precursor to a business trip into Birmingham. The room was a double, but would have been a little claustrophobic for two people. There were a couple of quirks. The overhead bathroom light was not working, and the staff suggested using the shaving mirror over the sink instead. One has to be tall...
