Asa Ransom House is a delightful inn. Our room was comfortable and well-appointed. We also appreciated that there were dispensers for shampoo, soap, etc in the bathroom. This is still hygienic, and avoids the waste generated by "single serving" bottles. Another benefit is that they do provide a charger for our electric car. Our breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented.... More

Lori M, Thank you for appreciating our green efforts. It's challenging and fun to incorporate new ideas as tankless water heaters, email newsletter vs. mail, providing filtered water in re-useable glass bottles vs. plastic, A full list of our "green" efforts can be found on our web site. Asa Ransom does not disappoint. This is the preferred place to stay for antiquers who'll find shops abounding in the area. But we're here for a family event. We love the charming and spacious period rooms in this lovely inn set far back from busy Route 5 (Main St.) and have returned many times if not to stay then at... More

Dear Mother Joyce, Happy to hear you enjoyed not only the Asa Ransom House, but a few of the local attractions. Western New York has a abundance of interesting attractions where guests have to return and stay longer to fit them all in. We do feature many local products (some from our Farmers' Market) including over 40 New York award... More

We stayed in room #4 (2nd floor) for two nights. Picked this B&B based on its proximity to the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center - Josh Groban concert. We have stayed in a number of B&B's and this one is near the top of our list. Having a breakfast menu was a treat and there was a dish to please... More

In June, my husband and I and some friends stayed for two nights at the Asa Ransom House. The rooms are decorated very nicely and the grounds are lovely. We stayed in Room 8, which is a large room on the lower level with a seating area and a separate entrance and porch. The problem I had with the room... More

Dear Barbara, We are sorry your visit was not up to your expectations. I have not had any comments this year on a musty order in room 8. We have had a very unusual humid spring/summer, but to eliminate any future possible orders developing, i have trimmed the outside foliage on this south side facing room. I will check on... More

Step back in time to elegant decor and delicious food. You'll want to take your time here enjoying the ambience. If you're looking for the perfect B&B experience, book one of their rooms. Each room is appointed differently, so you might want to go online and find your favorite.

Hi, Your description of your stay here at Asa Ransom is typical of what one finds when you stay at a Country Inn when traveling. It gives you more flavor of the area, with the Innkeeper very knowledgeable of the places of interest in the area. Thank you for visiting, its what makes Innkeeping rewarding! Sincerely, Innkeeper Bob More

Great location, delicious breakfast in a large dining room (souffle = yumm) and a very helpful and friendly gentleman at the reception desk. We did not lack for anything and our antique furnished room was lovely. We did have our own bathroom btw. I would recommend this b & b and I hear their dinners are pretty spectacular.

We are very sorry and sad for your unhappy experience on your visit.
