We went to celebrate my birthday and were enveloped by luxury. Our room, although one of the smaller, less expensive option at this very expensive hotel, was beautifully appointed, with an extremely comfortable bed, large TV, desk, reading chair, plenty of drawers and closet space. The bath products and lotions were aromatic and soothing. There were always bottles of water... More

Booking & Arrival I called to book, and the receptionist was extremely helpful in selecting the room, planning for meals and arranging for booking the spa appointments. They were happy to re-arrange meal reservations to fit our schedule. Warm and personal greetings upon arrival. Room Nicely done with a good taste. We got a queen room because we wanted a... More

We stayed for two nights at Glenmere 10 days ago. With a strong commitment to relais & chateaux properties worldwide ( my wife stayed at two European relais, as it happens, in the following week !), we know what to expect. As a collection of the very best small hostelries anywhere, we appreciate the extra effort made by most of... More

We chose this hotel because it fit our itinerary. When we return it will be because we found it such a delight. Our room was spacious and comfortable. All of the staff was very friendly and most helpful. The grounds were beautiful. I had expected we might find a suggested walking path around the property but we just explored on... More

Together we experienced dining at the tavern. There were 6 of us, and we thoroughly enjoyed some appetizers for the table that we shared with the best cocktails in the nearby area. My very tasty and fruity Cosmopolitan was just a notch above the common Cosmo. As we settled into our table, with our small bites and drinks, we were... More

Simply the best small hotel we have visited in the United States. And,Glenmere rivals the best venues in Europe. Amazing that it is convenient ( within a two hour drive for approximately 24 million people in the New York region ).

The rooms are gorgeous and amazingly comfortable! (I especially loved the heated marble floor in the bathroom with both a rain head shower head and personal shower head). The food is splendid with the best wine pairings I've ever experienced. And the spa is simply divine with a rare Hamman. (My wife and I had baby soft skin for an... More

My wife and I were traveling through the east coast and after stopping in Baltimore for a few days we didn't know where to go next has we were heading up to Cape Cod. Glenmere Mansion is an oasis of European luxury a mere 1.5 hours out of the city. The service is impeccable, with butlers and hotel staff going out of their way to be helpful. Both restaurants are Michelin caliber. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms and public spaces in the mansion are perfectly appointed. The only drawback is that the... More

Spent several days in the Princess Suite -- impeccable layout, fireplace, view of Glenmere Lake and the phenomenal color change that happened to be at peak while there. This relatively newly-restored inn, once the home of one of New York's richest society scions, oozes class and comfort around every corner...inside and out. The staff is really interested in being of... More
