Historic house in Cherry Valley is close enough to Cooperstown for opera and baseball lovers. House construction is the finest of its day, inlaid wood floors, interesting antiques; carriage house has large common room; breakfasts are fabulous; special requests honored. Rooms in carriage house furnished in the 50's, never updated, tiny bathroom, window air conditioner with no way to open...

By far this best stay I've every had. The host are very kind, thoughtful, friendly and helpful. The Limestone itself is overwhelming. If you thinking of visiting Cooperstown, stay here. It is close enough, about a thirty minute drive. You don't have to worry about parking, and it is so much more then of any of the local hotels.

We highly recommend Loretta and Wolfgang's charming Limestone Mansion. Beautifully decorated large rooms, air conditioned, and a fine and varied breakfast. Very convenient for Cooperstown and Glimmerglass. Photos of Wolfgang with Luis Tiant and other baseball stars.

The Limestone was a wonderful stay while seeing the operas at Glimmerglass. Will be returning soon and look forward to another lovely stay. The owners and staff are so warm and welcoming. The Sunday breakfast was a delicious feast that was continually refilled with homemade food. The rooms were clean and had window air conditioners. Bathrooms are shared but since...

If you enjoy staying in lovely old Victorian mansions with great period furniture, tasty and generous home-cooked breakfasts, and delightful owners--then this is the place for you! It was certainly the place for us--we loved the comfortable room with its pretty mahogany furniture, the bathroom was clean, and the friendly, personalized attention from the owners was the icing on the...

The Limestone Mansion is a beautiful place to stay in cherry valley. Wolfgang and Loretta are such a delight. The breakfest was amazing. The rooms were clean and welcoming. Meeting Wolfgang and Loretta was like seeing family although we had never even met. They took great care of me and my mother for her birthday weekend away. I can't wait...

Cherry Valley is a small, quaint, and lovely little town near Cooperstown - and a great alternative to the hustle and bustle of Cooperstown. I recently spent 2 nights at the Limestone Mansion and couldn't have been happier. Loretta and Wolfgang went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, and I felt right at home. They are warm and...

We visit cooperstown every year to tour the Baseball Hall Of Fame for our anniversary. This year, our anniversary happened to be during the Induction Weekend. We had quite a time trying to find accommodations near or in Cooperstown. I almost gave up when I made my last phone call and it was to Loretta at the Limestone Mansion. I...
