Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Buffalo Airport Hotel captivates with its nostalgic charm reminiscent of the 80s and 90s and offers an inviting atmosphere, including a sports bar with live music that guests enjoy. While the rooms are praised for their cleanliness and comfort, there are remarks about them being somewhat outdated and occasionally facing maintenance issues. The hotel's amenities satisfy many for their diversity and convenience, though concerns have been raised about cleanliness and security.
The friendly staff often receives compliments, but some guests have experienced service inconsistencies. Opinions on value for money are divided, with some guests highlighting reasonable rates and others disappointed by unexpected charges.

Detailed Reviews
I was in charge of booking a block of rooms for a family wedding and the hotel had everything I was looking for.
Not only do they offer a variety of rooms for a variety of needs, from individuals to couples to families to handicapped needs, to a private reception room and attached restaurant and bar.
The location was perfect!
All of the Staff were extremely helpful;
They were professional and very friendly and so accommodating.

I stayed at the hotel for two nights. Overall, the stay was decent, but I noticed a $29 charge for parking, even though it was supposed to be free when I made the reservation. Additionally, the shower drained very slowly, which should have been checked before allowing guests to use the room, especially considering the price.

This is the 3rd time I have stayed at the Buffalo Airport Hotel prior to flying out of Buffalo. The staff have consistently been friendly, pleasant and helpful. There is a spacious bar and restaurant that allows you to relax in the evening.
Rooms are clean, bed and pillows are comfortable. The shuttle service to and from the airport is the best! Available 24/7 and drivers are capable and kind. Staying at the Buffalo Airport Hotel takes the stress out of those early morning flights! Also, the ability to leave a vehicle in the hotel's secure parking lot is so convenient.

This place is something else. From the condition of the building to the lack or security, it is one of the worst places that I have ever stayed in my life. We stayed here with a larger group of people and as soon as we walked into the building, you could tell what we were in for.
The property is very stuck in the 80's. Everything is dingy and worn down. There is filth everywhere. Most of the hallways have very little lighting and the vibe is similar to a horror film.
There is no service provided to the rooms AT ALL during your stay and if you need anything, you'll have to go get it yourself. This also applies to most of the common areas in the property too, it is just filthy. One of the members of our group found a dead chipmunk skeleton in their room, had to also notify the front desk more than once to have it removed.
The most concerning thing is that the keys for the rooms stop working about every 6-8 hours. The hotel claims it has been happening for year. They make it really easy to get replacements though, you can just walk up to the front desk and tell they you want keys for whatever room you want them for. No ID is required and they don't even ask for your last name when giving room keys out!!!!
The rooms are small, bathrooms are very outdated and tiny, windows leak and window treatments have to be at least 20 years old. Everything is dirty and the majority of the staff has major attitude issues when you ask for help.
There are much better places to stay around there. We would have moved but due to why we were in town, we were not able to.

Worst hotel stay ever. The room, like the hallways, smelled disgusting. The old wall-to-wall carpets looked like they hadn't been deep or even superficially cleaned in a long time. The chipped furniture and broken coffeepot bothered me much less. There was a sticker on the bathroom mirror that said cleaning would only be done every three days, but I am convinced they hadn't cleaned the room even after the previous guest. There was a ring around the bathtub, the toilet did NOT look clean (definitely no plastic sanitized wrap around it) and I felt that the sheets weren't clean either. Everything was disgusting. I would NEVER stay there again. Ever!

Hotel is in need of a refit. Its pretty dated and a very strange layout.
I gave this 2 stars simply for the check in staff (who were amazing) and the Bar staff, who were also really nice and friendly. We booked this the day before travel due to adverse weather conditions to ensure we were near the airport before our flight on Jan 19th.
I did notice that one of the corridors was being repainted / redecorated, so maybe they are in the process of updating it. It sure needs it.

Surprised. I paid $72.00 because I am cheap, but I have standards. I read a good deal of reviews before making the decision to give this place a go, boy was I surprised. This is a very clean hotel to rest your head. If you are looking for luxury, this is not it, but I was not there to spend a lot of hotel time, but definitely did NOT want to sleep in a room where it looks like the covers were just pulled back up from the last person. Bathroom was immaculate except a little bit of hair behind the door, which I am guessing the door was open when they cleaned the bathroom, so they missed it. Otherwise, toilet, sink, floors were spotless. Beds clean, dresser and tables, there was an attention to detail I have not seen at 4-star hotels. Front desk nice.

This one is a real mixed bag. The area feels "marginal", and entering the hotel, the desk has a massive bank of camera feeds displayed. The hotel is 80's-90's chic, but not as a modern, design choice, it IS 80's-90's chic. Parking lot feels a bit marginal, but after two days of experience, its more a feel than a reality...although the signs warning about camera monitoring do cause pause.
Halls are tired, rooms are somewhat tired, with the occasional out of place touch like the giant LG TV dwarfing the chest of drawers it was sitting on. However, the room was clean, very much so. The bathroom was small and cramped, but was clean with complementary toiletries.
The central courtyard is a study in astroturf. Despite the areas feeling, just down the road are multiple Marriott properties. The location is near ideal, with the entry to the Buffalo Niagara International Airport being just a few hundred yards from the parking lot...which, as you can surmise means you'll hear some noise.
On the whole, a perfectly fine hotel for a solo traveler or couple, but wouldn't say a great choice with a family.

I recently flew in from LA for a movie I was working on. My flight was delayed and I didn't get into the Buffalo airport until after the rental car counter had closed. Fortunately for me, I ran into your shuttle driver, Tony G, who was kind enough to mention that you had rooms available for the night and that he would be able to give me a lift back to the airport in the morning to pick up my rental. Tony was courteous, professional and a really friendly character. My first impression of the Buffalo Airport Hotel sure was a good one!!

This was not a particularly fancy hotel, but it was comfortable, clean, and had everything I needed. Microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and wireless phone charger. Always nice! Also, a desk where I could set up my computer and a comfy chair for reading. Beds and pillows were wonderful. Staff was super friendly and helpful - every person I met - front desk and housekeeping!! I needed to move my 3rd night as a friend was joining me. They made my move totally seamless. Downstairs sports bar had a great Greek salad and good prices for drinks. Nightly rates were extremely reasonable even for the weekend, best I could find in the entire Buffalo area. Highly recommend.
