The Englewood is the perfect location in the heart of historic Chautauqua, close to both "The Amp" and the plaza. From the first inquiry about accommodations until we reluctantly departed, Olivia was welcoming and made out first experience at Chautauqua wonderful. As charming as the guest house is, it was Olivia's genuine hospitality that convinced us that we needed to... More

Englewood is pure comfort and joy! It is a rare gift to to be able to have guests feel 100% comfortable - as if they were in their own home. Olivia is all that! Thank you for the serenity! Hope to see you again soon.

My sister and I spent one night at the Englewood Guest House. It's a stone's throw from the amphitheater, where we attended the Avett Brothers concert July 8. The owner, Olivia, was friendly and informative. I didn't want to leave. The location is also kitty-cornered from Bestor Plaza, where you'll find the wonderful Chautauqua Institution bookstore and Brick Walk Cafe... More

Olivia goes out of her way to make her guests feel like family. We stayed 2 nights last year and 3 nights this year. Everything was great from breakfast on the porch to meeting lots of people and lots of fans in my room because it was a very warm weekend. Hoping to return next year for a longer stay.

This is the most amazing place!!! Olivia is truly the hostess with the mostest! She is very concerned about your comfort level and will go to any length to make sure you are 100% satisfied. You will lack nothing. Perfect location, perfect rooms, perfectly clean, perfectly welcoming and relaxed. I can't wait to go back. Thank you Olivia! Love at... More

The 1878 house has so much character, and the hospitality is top notch. Beds are very comfortable and towels provided! Organic breakfast provided too. Definite positive when staying in CHQ. Going to stay here again. ASAP!

This lovely two-story house of rooms was built in 1870. Of course in keeping with Chautauqua it has a front porch with seating which adds to the friendliness of the place. Continental breakfast is organic breads, spreads, fresh fruits, cereals both hot and cold. Microwaves, refrigerator, toasters available to guests which can be a time saver and less expensive than... This guesthouse is steps from Bestor Plaza and the Amphitheater. The room we had on the ground floor that included a private bathroom with a shower. We also had easy access to a shared bathroom on the same floor that included a tub. The accommodations were pleasant and adequate. Our queen size bed was a little hard for me, but... More

We visited Chautauqua Institute to see what it was all about. Staying at the Englewood Guest House set a wonderful tone for us. Quaint, clean, friendly, relaxing, educational, fun, with good food, is how I would describe Chautauqua Institute and Englewood Guest House. Words do not do justice to "the experience." In today's hectic, techno branded age, this place and... More

The Englewood is a lovely B&B right at the heart of the Chautauqua Institution. It's just steps to the Amp and to Bestor Plaza, which is very convenient. Olivia, the host, puts on a nice breakfast and has a very well-stocked common kitchen area (which we used repeatedly). Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Couldn't ask for more from...
