I was staying in Cazenovia overnight in order to visit a customer in the morning so I went here to have my dinner. It is just across the street from the lake, but you can't really see it from the restaurant. They have plenty of outdoor seating, they have tables and chairs all over the front lawn. I went around... Nice room with sleigh beds. The window was left open and we had to battle several pesky flies. (Ditto during breakfast the following morning.) Tried to have dinner downstairs but the smell - mold/musty - forced us upstairs and outside. My daughter enjoyed her steak sandwich and my cobb was good but avocado was frozen and thawed - yuck. Bathroom... More

My wife and I went to Cazenovia for one night celebrating our anniversary. We were greeted at the Brae Loch with a few fingers of Scotch which was a nice surprise. Also, they provided champagne to us at no extra cost! We stayed in room 13 Robert the Bruce, which was decorated with scottish flare. The bed was very comfortable... More

Read the description, look at the pictures. Picture yourself stepping back in time, in another country. If you like that picture, check for availability. If tartans and wood and old books are not your thing, leave the rooms for those who appreciate them. Comfort? Check. Big leather club chair and ottoman, Temper-pedic mattresses, fluffy comforters. Character? Check. Aged wood, antiques,... More

The Brae Loch Inn is almost a trip into the past with the comforts of the present. Family favorite for dining and relaxing all with the attentiveness of a staff that anticipates every need. Meals are individually prepared from local fresh ingredients and served in elegant presentation. The menu is varied and meets everyone's taste from the youngest child to... More

B&B is rather worn with OK air conditioning, front desk was marginally hospitable, but dog friendly which for us was critical. The location was great since it is near the lake, and close to restaurants.

A little piece of Scotland in Upstate NY. The Inn has both Lodging and meals. The food is fantastic! Great getaway rates with meals included. The Inn holds many special events, most with a Scottish theme

What a wonderful place and the people are equally wonderful. One of the owners (Val) gave us a personal tour and included ghost experiences that have been had here. My dinner of king crab legs was awesome but my hubby got a filet mignon that was not as good as expected. With that said I would come back here anytime... More

Ambience doesn't count for much when it's 99 degrees outside and the place doesn't have central air conditioning - just woefully inadequate window units. There was also some kind of fan in the room, but a fuse blew and that stopped working. I didn't get much sleep that night because of the heat. Also, despite what the adverts said, there... More

Staying at the Brae Loch is like being home from college for the weekend. Although that stage in life has long passed, the Brae Loch takes me back to the feeling. There's booze in the basement, a huge yard/park/lake next door, food downstairs when you wake up, super comfy beds, oriental rugs, textured wallpaper, lots of wood, dogs, and pleasant... More
